It’s strange how we’ve become more prudish with censoring (rather than less).
The funniest example of censorship remains the donkey brays in ‘Fire Water Burn’ by the Bloodhound Gang.

I like that one, if i find myself singing that in the shower, I’ll sing “burn mother ekkk awww” because i think it actually sounds better! (and funnier too).
Of course it makes no sense, but most lyrics don’t anyway!

Odds are, the “great songs” will be more likely to be heard on 88.9 than any other frequency, since it’s home to 2RE, Rebel, Braidwood FM, and until recently, Breeze (or until Eagle Heights gets switched on).

The Retro 20/20 Countdown last night was a good one (“Successful artists who were also one hit wonders”).
The Warrior - Scandal (who themselves werea one hit wonder in Australia but lead singer Patti Smyth had more success as a solo artist).
