Heard yesterday on 93.3FM or Radio 50 Plus at Gosford (or whatever they’ve decided to call themselves this week).
Great song that used to get flogged endlessly on commercial radio, but now only community radio seems to play any of his songs (though Forever Classic plays him a bit, probably Cruise too). Hadn’t heard it on the radio for a while.
The latter was used as promo music for the Seven Network in 2003 when they did away with the “One to Watch” slogan and introduced a new one that said “See Things Differently”.
They also had a “Lucky 7” slogan but the cruel irony was that 2003-04 was a tough period for the network with the lack of winter sports and international dramas, among other things.
7:35pm: “What I’ve Done” by Linkin Park
8:05pm: “This is How a Heart Breaks” by Rob Thomas
8:50pm: “Mr Brightside” by The Killers
9:17pm: “Even Better Than the Real Thing” by U2
Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda was interviewed on tonight’s show.
Heard these tonight on ‘Forever Classic’ TGIF 80s (streamed via GNFM)

Catch Me I’m Falling – Real Life
You’re Gonna Get Hurt – Jenny Morris
Boys – Sabrina (hearing this one made me smile!)
Club Tropicana – Wham!
I Know You’re Out There Somewhere – The Moody Blues
Falco - Der Kommissar (the original) playing right now on Triple M Brisbane as part of Awesome 80s. Great song, and genuinely surprised that they gave it a spin. Good on them.
