I do agree though - nothing wrong with mixing in newer songs if it fits the sound of the station.

Did almost drive off the highway last week hearing Gold 104.3 playing Lady Gaga - Bad Romance.

That was the first song I heard on Gold when my alarm woke me on Saturday morning (I think). In my barely awake state I assumed I had put The Fox on the night before.

i used to use alexa but it dropped out enough overnight that i ended up buying a Sangean DCR89 DAB+ Digital Clock Radio

Yep I’ve got a great little DAB alarm clock. Even if you lose power at any point it just resets the time and alarms automatically. Love it.

Even better is how I never need to change it for daylight savings. All automatic. Love it.

Love it. Mine even has the feature that if the DAB signal is off air it defaults to a buzzer.

If 2UE had a decent marketing budget - but being ran by ACE, I’d say unlikely - they should flood the Sydney market with ads like “wondering where the classic hits went? They’re now on 2UE”

Even be cheeky and have a picture of a tombstone with “R.I.P. WSFM”!

Might steal a few share points off Gold 101.7
