I think both of the newer Goggleboxing groups are alright but I can’t help but feel that even after considering the slight casting change that there’s a rather different mode/tone to the show this year compared to last years two seasons. Maybe there’s been a change in producers or other people behind the scenes? I don’t know…
As far as the suggestion of removing some of the longer serving Goggleboxers for new families is concerned, when that time comes I wouldn’t mind seeing them branch out of Sydney and Melbourne (although do keep a couple of families based in both cities, of course) and maybe get a few families from another capital city in the mix to really spice things up a bit.
I like the older lady but her daughter needs to tone it down a bit. The two Asian girls are growing on me.
Three seasons in and the Dalton parents are still playing up to the cameras. IMO Anastasia is starting to wear a bit thin. The Delpachitas have really come to life this season. They were terrible dull throughout season one, so so season two but they’re rather hilarious this year.
Last year several of the Goggleboxers were far from impressed that they were ‘banned’ from the Logies because the producers didn’t want them to be perceived as celebrities. Wonder if that’s the case this year considering the show is nominated.
I tuned in last night to see the Goggleboxers’ reactions to MKR and MasterChef (two of my favourite shows). Their comments were so funny! I also hope they will review the Logies.
I very highly doubt this would happen of course, but maybe getting the now-departed Kidd family to accept the award (if the show wins, of course) might be a decent option? That way you’d have someone from on-screen collecting the award, but keeping the integrity of the program.
But of course, I agree with TV Cynic who would personally prefer to see the Goggleboxers review the Logies broadcast rather than attend the awards ceremony.
