First time this year a new episode is rated MA. Gordon Ramsay perhaps?

EDIT: I think the MA rating could be due to Stan dramedy Sunny Nights, which was the final program reviewed on the episode.

They watched NCIS Sydney episode which aired yesterday on P+. So they must of gotten an advanced screening

Gogglebox watched the Women’s Asia cup final on 10. I believe this is the first sporting event that they have shown on the program since it became a 10 only production. Last year they didn’t watch NRL or AFL GF

So looks like 10 are probably going to prioritise showing those big sporting events only if they are on 10

But the Goggleboxers did not watch the Australian F1 Grand Prix which was also shown on 10.

Probably a much more difficult thing to get the rights to show content from, especially when they’re a sub-licensee. Also, not really too realistic to be watching something from the afternoon a couple weeks later?

F1 was also on Fox. Asia cup was 10 & Paramount only. So that could be why.

I don’t think they need to watch NRL or AFL GF but them watching this makes me think they only showed it because it was on 10.

Also, used the reach figure in the voice over (2.5 million of us) rather than the average just to make it sound better …

You mean when she says “every evening in australia, more than 4 million of us…” if she was talking reach, she would say 10-12 million

Oh. Nah I was just referring specifically to the audience for the soccer match from Saturday night. The reach was 2.6 but the audience was actually 1.3. I mean, technically it’s right that 2.6 million of us watched at some point but the average punter who doesn’t follow (or know) the difference wouldn’t know that. Just a little cheeky I thought. Not sure they’ve referenced reach numbers previously

Interesting that this week’s episode covered the finales of Australian Idol and Australian Survivor: Redemption, but not Married at First Sight.

Wasn’t MAFS covered enough this season?

True, but I was waiting to see the Goggleboxers’ reaction to the reunion episodes (which also marked Mel Schilling’s final appearance).

I’m sure that was covered when they featured a previous episode and there was a tribute to her. I don’t think they should be doing the same show in three or four episodes per season. It’s too much.

Given Taskmaster Australia’s new season does not start until May 7, why does not 10 extend Gogglebox by one more episode so this season finishes on April 30? Unless the network has other plans?

They will show a compile episode in that week

I cant see last night’s episode up yet

Probably the following week to keep people watching, as all the newer launched shows won’t have as much interest. Who knows…
