It’s very typical of Seven. Holding back something that ‘worked’ well for a bit and then trying to pretend it will rate alright by leaving it out to dry for ages.
Maybe they are going to film a few more episodes and see how those and the final episode of this set of 8 goes later in the year or a different timeslot. Maybe 4-5 episodes in Nov for 7:30pm or 8:30pm in Nov after cheap seats or HYBPA finishes on 10?
It seems like 7 likes the show and liked the early ratings but are trying to find when it could capitalise the ratings to be better like the high 600-700k from the first 4 episodes

I guess if they chuck 1 random episode into the schedule later in the year and it holds up okay, it can get a renewal as it’ll show the audience may follow it to a schedule change.
Just watched the past two episodes, last week’s had Dave Hughes which was odd because he had participated in an ep earlier on. I started thinking whether they had been changing the order of episodes.
When I went to the recording of House of Wellness the warm up guy was telling me that they were very happy with CI.. all but one episode which wasn’t very funny at all.
