Is it? From the adverts it looks more like a celebrity comedy roast to me?

The show is getting a big promotional push tonight. It was the first promo to be played out following Idol’s first elimination, in addition to a permanent spot next to the Seven logo during the grand final itself.

Hmm this is a bit average.
I like all these people but it’s very insular sort of show. A bit too Melbourne as well.

I don’t mind it but there’s a lot of fat to trim. Would be a lot better as a half hour show.

I actually enjoyed watching it. I am not much of a Carrie Bickmore fan but enjoyed the show.
I am not too sure it is a 7:30 show, I think more a 8:30 or 9pm show.

I thought it was funny and they had done their research well. It did get a bit tiresome after a while. It ran longer than an hour, so probably didn’t need the last guest (Carrie’s mum).
Carrie was probably a dream celebrity to feature. She really went along with the jokes at her expense. I do wonder whether other guests would be so willing to go along with the piss taking and whether they can sustain the laughs every week though.

My criticism would be it would have been good to let Carrie speak more. Lot’s of gags and jokes etc… but a bit more of Carrie responding would have helped us learn a bit more about her…
Instead, you get to the end of the show and you’re not much better off for it all.

Glenn Robbins and Mick Molloy surprise their good friend Sam Pang with a long-overdue intervention in a new episode of Glenn & Mick’s Celebrity Intervention – 7.30pm next Monday on Seven and 7plus.
Special guest co-host Lawrence Mooney joins the guys live in studio as Pang is put under the spotlight for his questionable acting skills, ill-advised wardrobe choices and more.
Santo Cilauro also gets in on the action with a very personal request, while comedy pals Kitty Flanagan and Urzila Carlson deliver some deliciously brutal call-outs.

I think they wanted to see if it worked at 7:30pm. Also they probably don’t want it clashing with the other comedies at 8:30pm like HYBPA & Cheap Seats - I think it was mentioned in an article. And also they don’t really have another timeslot available
They could always send it to Wednesdays. Though I guess they didn’t want it to be Molloy followed by Molloy (on The Front Bar).
But I guess good to see Seven branching out a bit more instead of doing stripped reality.

It was great! I laughed so much. Glenn and Mick were great but having Kate, Pete and Tommy added to the laughs. I will definitely be watching again. The Sam Pang episode should also be very funny.

I only saw bit’s and pieces of this and I think the format/concept of the show is fine. I am just not sold on Glen and Mick as the leads and personally they alone don’t entice me to watch. I would have included someone younger on there or even maybe added a female. Tommy and Kate as guests seem to fit on it well.
