Would it make sense for Australian broadcasters to pool coverage out of safety/long shifts/other factors? It’s an unprecedented event and it may call for unprecedented moves with limited, strained resources.
It’s possible but if media continues to challenge one another, as if it is a competition, you won’t see that happening any time soon. Nine’s already heavily advertising their coverage of the U.S. protests.
MSNBC did not use footage from “World War Z,” a 2013 movie about a virus that turns humans into zombies, in a report Sunday. Posts circulating online Monday attacked the cable television station, falsely claiming they had used the movie footage to make protests in the U.S. appear worse.

On Monday, @OfficialSlop posted the fictional edit as a joke, even going so far as to write “NOT REAL” on the footage. Nevertheless, it was quickly snatched up by the QAnon sect, the frothing online cult that believes Donald Trump will one day expose Democratic leaders like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for being pedophiles, cannibals, and what have you.
I just hope the media take care and use safety precautions when covering this. It issad to see that these protesting have their protests hijacked by pathetic morons who intent on causing destruction and maham to people and small and large businesses who are likely to lose their lively hood because of these people who hijacked the protest with violence and destruction.
So much of the reaction to the death has been predicable, but various people re-enacting the death managed to surprise me (and in a bad way).

Rudy has truly lost the plot! I watched that live! Man…he just had it in for the “left” media… Apparently Piers Morgan knows Trump too, doesnt mean he agrees with everything he does and he challenged Rudy on the lack of leadership from TrumpyBear during tihs time of crisis. This four eyed pumpkin soup mix wasn’t having none of it. Then termintaed the interview.
Cop shoots wheelchair-bound man in face:
Protests continue on as we finish the second week since Floyd’s killing. Here’s a moment captured by my (adjacent) local media.
I read somewhere last night:
The US has gone from a country managing it’s decline, to a country unable to manage it’s decline
Well done to CNN and Sesame Workshop for organising this.
