Oddly I don’t remember the Early 2000s incarnation of The Looney Tunes Show.

Also, I thought that Holly Brisley was a presenter on Channel Seven around that time period unless I’m thinking of someone else (which is quite possible).

Another early 80s game show I remember is

$50,000 Letterbox

This was unique as I recall the 1980-81 version being produced in Perth.

[/quote]It only lasted a year or so from memory. Holly put her usual “style” on a show that was aimed at kids.

I don’t really remember it that well but it did get a brief run in Melbourne. At one stage it was co-hosted by Ann Sanders.

I think the show pretty much came to an end when Wheel Of Fortune took over across the network

A few game shows came from Perth at around that time. Family Feud with Tony Barber began at TVW7 in Perth in 1977 before shifting production to GTV9 in Melbourne a few years later.

STW9 in Perth also produced a game show called The Better Sex, hosted by Mike Preston, but from memory it only got shown in Perth and in Brisbane, where it was picked up by TVQ0.

For some reason I have strong memories of Ford Superquiz. I know it didn’t last long but it must have been popular in my house growing up!

Some other good kids shows I remember:

Miraculous Melops
Spellbinder
Girl from tomorrow
Blinky bill (live action not animated).

There were so many growing up. Many of which mentioned above. Professor poopsnaggle was great!!

I definitely remember Ford Superquiz. It was a remake of the old Pick A Box format. I thought it only ran for one season but it may have been renewed for a second.

Channel 10, as part of the 10 TV Australia revamp, tried the format a few years later but with Mike Walsh and Deborah Hutton.

Oooh yes, I remember Ford Superquiz too!

This one has just been uploaded by Steve Rutherford on YouTube, a “Go Lotto” draw from I think Early 1985 (judging by the mention of the Australia Games) with Karen Pini, Johnny Tapp and a rather large and elaborate set compared to more recent draws:

That Division 1 prize of $1 Million…you could almost buy a nice house in Sydney with that money these days!

I seem to recall that they couldn’t use the phrase “the money or the box” in Ford Superquiz because that had been trademarked by Bob Dyer who owned the original Pick A Box trademarks. But “the money or the prism” didn’t have quite the same ring to it and I vaguely recall that eventually Dyer relented and let them use the original phrase.

By the time the Channel 10 version came “the money or the box” was allowed from day one although the show only lasted a few months.

When ATN7 dropped GTV9’s Graham Kennedy Show because Sydney viewers did think he was funny! The Sun-Herald, 8 May 1960.

Another one which hasn’t been mentioned yet was ‘Time Masters’. It only lasted a couple of seasons I think.

The funny thing is the 1st division prize for Monday and Wednesday is the same today - $1 million. The difference being that it’s guaranteed for up to 4 winners so you don’t have to split it with anyone.

It doesn’t even come close to buying a house where I live near Sydney Airport (the median house price is around $1.75 million. So much for “the big red ball that makes dreams come true”…

Does anyone remember this show?

Is that some sort of rip-off of Hard Copy?

Surely some of you remember this classic? (the opening theme composed by Chris Neal alone should be enough to trigger memories!)
