We have had decades of war on terror post 9/11 looks like we are now onto the next. Very dark day for the world the moment we have Americans shooting at Russians.

News reports are coming through that attacks on the Russians will appear in the next 48-72 hours, depending on which news site is reporting. We will see how it turns out in the coming hours.

ABC News Channel first story at 11pm was the Queen’s COVID diagnosis but nothing apart from the official statement.

I wonder how many Australian breakfast show producers will be woken early to start work on organising royal experts to appear on the shows they work for. They’ll be morbidly pontificating about the Queen’s prognosis until she is next seen in public.

Holly Williams is an Australian, Turkey based CBS news foreign correspondent. She’s very good. At least with using her the Australian accent allows for authenticity in the coverage seeming it’s Australian focused.
