General News Events - Coverage Discussion

Not related to the coverage but so good that this scum of the earth is gone from us. What a vile creature.

She was at the MCG covering the Kylie Minogue AFL Grand Final announcement, so my guess is that is just some parkland near there.

Yes, watching CNN as I type. Boris Sanchez doing a great job hosting from Florida. They had Senator Mark Kelly and his twin brother Scott (both retired astronauts!) on earlier.

International presentations of the historic mission.

Is that the usual AC360 timeslot?

Yes.

I’m not sure this is at all unusual.

‘Right of reply’: Angus Taylor to air opposing national address after Albanese

Opposition Leader Angus Taylor will address the nation in a prime-time speech of his own, hours after Anthony Albanese took the rare step of making a countrywide address.

A spokesperson for Mr Taylor on Thursday announced the Opposition Leader intended to exercise his “right to reply” through the ABC.

It is understood a message from Mr Taylor will be broadcast at 7pm on Thursday on the ABC.

The opposition leader, Angus Taylor, will speak to the country on Thursday night, a day after an address from Anthony Albanese.

Despite criticising the prime minister for wasting time on Wednesday night, the Liberal leader will be broadcast at 7pm, with a statement about the war in Iran and the global energy crisis.

The ABC will broadcast the message.

Hilarious. The PM’s address was unnecessary but this even more so.

Not surprised the ABC is giving it the same treatment (due impartiality is a lost art), but I don’t reckon it deserves anything more than a handful of snippets in a news item.
