Braziers last show had 14k viewers.
“GB Newsday” LOL, Angelos really is a one trick pony isn’t he. How embarrassing.
And in news I never expected to hear, John Cleese is getting a show on GB News!
The bloke has gone off the deep end in recent years.
Why? Because his opinions don’t match yours ?
The man created some of the greatest comedy in history but now seems to spend every interview talking about “cancel culture” and tweeting about “wokes” and trans-people.
His political opinions (Lib-Dems in the UK language) have been well known for some time, but nowadays he seems to crave the idea of offending (much like Ricky Gervais) rather than being thought provoking or comedic.
Jesus fucking Christ. And people say Sky Australia is bad…
(For context, this guy has a weekly show on GB News, entitled ‘Calvin’s Common Sense Crusade’ and regularly appears as a pundit during the week.)
Tbh I find his use of the word ‘crusade’ highly suspect, given that he regularly uses other extreme-right dogwhistles in his work:
And he also used to have the phrase ‘In hoc signo vices’ in his Twitter bio - which just happened to be the slogan of the English Defence League, a white supremacist group.
Basically Angelos is going to turn GB News into Sky News at its cheapest and nastiest (if it even get any worse…!)
Watching some segments… it seems to be already there. Its aligning itself with Sky News (Aus) and Fox News (US)
Unfortunetly I can’t remove the channel from Samsung tv plus on my tv but I consider GB Nees an entertainment channel.
From what I have seen it’s definrtly sky news Australia with mixed in with a bit of Fox News
Angelo was an EP, then news director and subsequently CEO of Sky News Aus. He founded GBN and it’s format has always been based on his success at Sky News Aus.
He’s even rolled at shows on GBN such as Agenda and To the Point etc.
What was that?
The introduction (and eventually moulding the channel around) political opinion programming.
Has that been a success though?
Surprised he hasn’t filled it with ultra cheap Sky content from 2 decades ago like The Book Show, Heath News Australia, Best of Today and In the First Person.
