on the old Austar boxes their still staying as is its only the newer boxes that are changing to individual channels

u can still buy movies if your box is connected to the internet

Info:

From 11 October Foxtel Box Office ‘session time’ movies are changing.

So, what’s happening to Foxtel Box Office movies?

From Wednesday 11 October, we’ll remove the Foxtel Box Office rental channels (channel 901 - 908) from our Cable and Satellite services.

What’s behind the decision?
We’re focusing our efforts where our customers are moving, Foxtel Store online movie ordering and On Demand.

How will this impact me?
As the Foxtel Store is only available to internet connected iQ boxes, you may not have access to movie rentals.

Our iQ1.5, iQ2 and iQ3 set top boxes can be easily connected with an internet cable, and iQ3 can connect via WiFi. Foxtel Box Office New Releases Instant movies will still be available via the menu application for MyStar 2 (MyStar HD) set top units, as well as IQ1.5 and IQ2 boxes if they’re connected to the internet.

We encourage you to connect your set-top box to the internet so you can access features like the Foxtel Store online movie ordering and On Demand.

c21 reports Foxtel has secured the Australian rights to 10-part reality show Cheer Squad from Canadian distributor Corus Studios. Produced by Vancouver-based Good Human Productions, Cheer Squad follows a Canadian cheerleading team’s adventures on the road to defending their world championship title. Foxtel has also acquired seasons one and two of Architect Films’ home-improvement series Home to Win (18×60’) which I think will go straight to LifeStyle channel.

RealScreen reports Foxtel has also acquired Extreme Cake Makers for LifeStyle channel. The documentary looks at the successes and failures of the elite group, who go all out to produce the world’s most delicious and breathtaking cakes.

foxtel has dumped the religious audio channel from the Tunes section. this was quite annoying as i’d put this on whilst cleaning the house.

also, i took an online survey about foxel, linked from another news ltd site. there were some questions asking about new channels.

can you link the survey? as Id like to do it.

Why is Universal only repeating even-numbered series of Suits? I didn’t see the earlier series, so it’s a bit frustrating to start at series 2, then jump to 4, then jump to 6.

it was a personalised link to me unfortunitly.
