Foxtel

Before the NFL season hopefully.

They will probably keep going with the whole “Excluse to DAZN” same as what happened when Kayo came out.

I was thinking of ditching Foxtel and getting a Fetch Box plus Kayo in footy season. But Foxtel has lowered my subscription to basically the same cost of Kayo. While I’m disappointed Sky Racing 1 isn’t in HD. It’s hard to give up my iq box.

Fetch doesn’t have Kayo. Or didn’t last I looked at mine

I have a TAB account so I get the app on Apple TV and all steams are HD

Really. Wow. I’ll try it.

Yeh. Wouldn’t need Kayo on Fetch. Would just have the Kayo app on my TV.

What app on Apple TV?

Sky Racing Active

ABC Entertains airs some Cartoon Network shows in the morning. I wonder if they will be removed from there on this date as well.

I wouldn’t have thought so. Those are probably part of a separate agreement.

Foxtel are going to have to do something with their EPG, surely? It’ll look pretty damn silly to have a kids’ section with just one channel! Maybe they could move DreamWorks up to the entertainment section.

as well as more NHL and NBA games, previously only available in Australia on the Watch ESPN app for Fetch and Foxtel cable and satellite subscribers.

Agree it’s good, though the NBA minis only last for a day or two on Disney plus.

They’ve already added Nickelodeon, ABC Kids & Family, ABC Entertains, Movies Family, Movies Family+2 and even a kids radio channel, so Dreamworks won’t be all alone.

But you pay for Foxtel, so if you’re paying for a service you don’t see value in channels you can get elsewhere for free.

In that case, despite the family movie channels which is a bit questionable, just having DreamWorks left is a pretty lacklustre line-up of kids content no matter which way you spin it.

Sky in the UK is full of Freeview channels, but the actual entertainment channels are quite thin on the ground. They are full of HBO stuff that is going to MAX. The only worthwhile content is sport, which will work for DAZN.

Yeah but none of those channels are in the kids’ section, are they? They’re all over the place. I think Foxtel are going to have to move some channels around so that their EPG doesn’t look so silly.

It’s interesting that Sky has launched more and more Sky-branded channels in recent years… a lot like Foxtel. I think eventually it’ll just be Sky-branded channels and little else. Be interesting to see if Comcast ever does sell Sky… they looked at selling Sky Germany a couple of years back, but that never led anywhere.

Sky Sports is massive, they will just keep cutting areas that don’t make money.

Fox have somewhat followed Sky’s lead - although Sky’s O&O channel branding is a hell of a lot stronger than Foxtel’s
