Kayo and Flash are cheaper than a normal Foxtel sub if you want news and sport
Please tell me it was Tom Gleeson’s Hubbl parody
Was iview promoted during an actual ad break on a linear Foxtel channel, or was it featured as a pre-roll before an On Demand stream of a program? I ask because the ABC often runs ads for their services on other streaming platforms as well.
True although my LG TV remote is horrible compared to the Foxtel one
Even when you get Binge as well it’s still cheaper.
Unfortunately not…it was for a new show called Austin.
Yep was on the History channel…just like any other ad.
Talked to the wife tonight. For what we are paying Foxtel we can get binge, flash, kayo and fetch tv. I’ll buy her a Hubble next week and we will be good to go
after going through the interrogation on the cancelation number i finally cancelled my service. what a pain in the rear end it was.
even when i mentioned i would get my sport via kayo he proceeded to tell me kayo has a 40 sec delay (like i care) and that 4K needs a good connection to work and it may not work on my NBN (jokes on him, i signed up for a month’s trial yesterday and watched the dolphins’ game last night with no issues)
he claimed new channels are coming but yet to be announced, C+I and History are going but the content is staying (it’s just a rebrand) and that Foxtel have added more channels than they have lost (i specially cited the Disney channels, PBS kids, and the impending closure of CBeebies)
Doesn’t Fox Crime already exist? FOX History?
Well whatever the rebrand might be, it will be on Binge for less!
They knocked off the Fox from Fox Crime (and all the others except FOX8 after putting it on), so it’s just Crime now. Not sure where that leaves History though.
I’m guessing that:
The History Channel will become (Fox) HISTORY
Crime and Investigation will become (Fox) INVESTIGATE
The History Channel have been using the just History for over a decade now, wouldn’t think they’d have a trademark over something that generic (as demonstrated by everyone still calling it the History Channel). Foxtel might fall back on calling it Foxtel History though.
Also, called it back in 2021?
New channels coming. Likely Foxtel branded
I think Foxtel are dropping the two channels to save on branding fees. They must be very expensive.
Well, obviously. It’s been mentioned here many times before. They are getting out of every expensive contract they have and ending up as an el cheapo service.
