They’ll be left with the Lifestyle channel and will only add more channels under the Lifestyle name. Have blocked these channels as there are nothing on.
This is me a lot ![]()
Also, particularly with sport, streaming isn’t as convenient particularly if you want to easily flick between different sports/matches for a score update and then flick back.
We can only hope. That Patrick Delaney needs to be pulled down a peg or two. He’s arrogance has been astounding.
You wonder why anyone would want to conduct business with him.
If anything, the emergence and growth of FAST channels over the last few years perfectly demonstrates how there’s still a place for linear channels.
I’m confused? is it just the History channel and the crime investigation channel or is it more?
I would like to see devices like Hubble and Fetch have the streaming services listed with an LCN to make it much easier to switch between streams (so be like a FAST channel as well - for live sport at least)
Hubbl does use the Foxtel LCN’s
personally though im thinking of moving over to Fetch considering the continued loss of content on Binge/Foxtel
With the new gen 5 version of Fetch out, it gives you access to Kayo & Binge while also access to the Fetch content.
I could be wrong, but I isn’t the History channel owned by Discovery networks? Crime + Investigation is a Foxtel produced channel.
History Channel and Crime + Investigation are A&E brands
Foxtel licenced both brands for local channels
Are you replacing them with Fox branded channels minus the licensing fees?
What I find outrageous is how expensive the basic plans are with so little new linear channels to watch. Basically paying for the privilege of watching sport/premium drama through a satellite box at this point, especially if you don’t have access to a stable/fast internet service.
If/when HBO Max launches in Australia, the platform will be doomed for drama. No reason not to use Kayo.
I think it is clear that Foxtel see the end nearing for its platform as a linear service.
If Sky Racing is on Kayo, I will move there.
Sky Racing is the only thing that is keeping me on Foxtel. Sky 1, Sky 2 and Sky TC
You can use the free sky racing app on Google or Apple TV
Downside is no Sky1 or Sky2 in HD
Sky Racing isn’t HD on FOXTEL either, is it?
I know pubs and clubs have it in HD, but I don’t think that’s available to residential subscribers.
Yes I thought only Sky RC was HD on foxtel
There is no channel on Foxtel called Sky Racing Channel. There is;
Sky Racing 1
Sky Racing 2
Sky Thoroughbred Central and RACING.COM are available in HD.
That was meant to be Sky TC not RC
