I just heard Foxtel may have a pop up channel running Quiz shows of all things. If this is true Has anyone got any screen shots?

It is a real pop up channel on 128, simply called ‘Quiz’.
According to their TV guide the shows on offer include Taskmaster, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and 8 out of 10 Cats, to name a few.

Great idea! They should try and get repeat rights to Sale Of The Century, Hot Seat, Ford Superquiz and other classic quiz shows too!

It would be a great idea however most episodes were thrown away. Only a couple remain.

Foxtel has added IP FTA channels to Darwin - we can now watch channels like 7Bravo and 7Flix.
There is a catch - these channels are coming from Adelaide. So the channels have now doubled up side by side and running on different schedules due to the different region. Confusing for the ordinary viewer.
I’m sure SCA isn’t happy about this knowing Foxtel viewers will probably be watching the Adelaide feed unknowingly.

Makes sense in winter I guess. Not sure what happens next year when 7 can’t stream Crows and Port games into Darwin though.
Are you saying Darwin won’t be able to live stream 7Plus AFL in 2025?
No they’d be taking the Melbourne feed wouldn’t they? So they wouldn’t be streaming Crows/Port.

Amusingly, it appears that the official Foxtel Help account on Xwitter seems to have gotten itself suspended.

If Foxtel is now using IPTV based FTA channels can these channels still be recorded?
Nope. Can’t record. Can’t pause.
Upside though is every channel is in HD.

A Fetch Mighty refurbed is the best if you want to record as well as a strong aerial

Or a Panasonic PVR, some models will also play DVD/Blu-Ray and record/archive directly to disc.
