Foxtel

The other morning my iQ3 did a software update and I noticed that the Freeview channels became quite complicated.

They’re now named like this:

100 - NBN
107 - Prime7 Northern, Newcastle
110 - Southern Cross TEN Northern NSW
131 - SC ELEVEN, Northern NSW
137 - 7TWO NSW
139 - 9Go!
207 - 7mate on Prime NSW
209 - NBN GEM NSW
210 - ONE Southern NSW

Weird…

Mumbrella reporting that up to 100 staff have been let go at Foxtel today, most in call centres.

Ours has done the same, still havent added SBS Food either :frowning:

Is iQ3 working any good now? I sent mine back and downgraded (upgraded I feel) back to iQ2.

I did the same out of frustration with the iq3 going to sleep and not waking up (even for timed recordings) so had to power off at wall and do a full rescan every time I wanted to watch something!

Next to no issues with mine. It still has some menu lag, apart from that the only issue I had was it froze once when I was watching Hopman Cup on 7mate.

The last update did change the FTA names for me.

the only issue I used to have was when deleting programs recorded from iQ3, it could take a minute or so to delete - after the most recent software update, it’s perfect.

I read somewhere on their community forums that SBSF won’t be happening - daresay because LifeStyle FOOD would be annoyed.

hang on!

Might have spoken too early there - it’s showing up on my Online Guide at D143

yep just checked, screening on D143

Thanks Foxtel :slightly_smiling:

2 things of note in the February Foxtel mag:

1 - no more daily sports listings (NOT happy)
2 - from Feb 29, new channel called “YESSHOP” on D180 (YAY! Not.)

Ten and Foxtel will have their content played in shopping centres - more in this thread.

Foxtel hasn’t announced any new drama series or mini-series for this year. Its all stuff they held over from last year. They still haven’t aired the Kittering Incident.

Starting times for sporting events around the world change frequently with little notice and it is always hard for Foxtel to publish an advance schedule.

Yes they have…the miniseries set in Canberra written by Chris Uhulmann … Can’t remember the name of it.

I couldn’t give two hoots and nor can all the people complaining on their facebook page. Leave the listings in. Yes we get it’s subject to change often, but we still like to know when certain sports are likely to be on.

Secret City. Airs in March.

That was announced a long time ago. I’m talking about original programs that should be airing mid to end of year.
