Is fox sports channel 508 new? Or am I just late to notice it?

Comes and goes. I think it depends on the amount of content they have at the time. Don’t have the 2nd Main Event channel right now.

It’s an extra they use when they brand one of the other channels and have extra sport to show.

If anyone hasn’t watched the documentary on Ned Brockmann “runn” You have to watch it. It is a must watch.

For some reason Fox is showing the 2016 Perth Darts on 505 (just finishing up now), hosted by Tara Rushton.

Took not even 30 seconds into the Olympics podcast for them to make some “anti-woke” remark

Supercars revealed its 2025 championship calendar today, one week out from Bathurst 1000. The championship returns to Ipswich and Tailem Bend, while Sydney SuperNight moves from May to February to be the season opener. Sandown 500 moves from its traditional mid September date to November.

The 2025 race formats, television schedule and support category details will be announced in coming days leading up to Bathurst.

I’m starting to think Fox Sports need to reassess their relationship with Sky Sports in regard to the F1 coverage especially in light of the recent success of Oscar Piastri.

There’s always been a British bias in their coverage (understandable when they are a British broadcaster), but for Australian viewers to be stuck with coverage and commentary that is actively barracking for Lando at the expense of an Aussie is rather infuriating.

F1 themselves does their own coverage and commentary on the F1TV platform complete with pre and post race coverage, I would like to see Foxtel pick this up as my understanding is this coverage is a lot more neutral (and arguably higher quality as well).

Yes they are infuriating. They openly cheer for the demise of others. It’s really annoying.

Sky’s coverage has always carried a significant bias towards British drivers - it’s amazing how many people have only just realised this is the case.
Before covid, the Sky coverage was worth watching for some real insight into the sport but it has dropped away significantly.

My understanding is that Sky’s coverage is currently the only option for Fox - F1TV is for streaming only in English markets.

Now you know what international markets think of some of our sports commentary!

Before COVID Sky had world feed contract; once F1 started their own feed Sky lost their “world feed” and now hold contracts with ESPN America and Fox Australia.

Edited with ESPN, replaced the word Fox. My bad.

They don’t have the rights?

ESPN in the US have the rights to F1 and take the Sky Feed.
