FSN keeps referring to 505 as “Fox Football 505”. Has this ever happened before?

Has anyone noticed that the info in the EPG now tells you straight away if the content is streaming or not. Does anyone know when they started doing this?

Was surprised (and happy) when flicking around yesterday to see the Australian Baseball League on fox sports. seems to be just a direct broadcast of the facebook and youtube live broadcasts.

I’m guessing its cheap and possibly related to the aborted manny ramirez blue sox deal

interesting comments on his views on where football sits in fox’s lineup, and i agree with him. I would think optus would be looking at getting the rights for the A-League and W-League - it seems like a big hole in there lineup

I cannot see Fox Sports renewing its rights to the A-League. Optus will definitely bid for it. Simon Hill would be the perfect fit for Optus Sport, he should be involved in an all-Australian panel during selected EPL games (as they did for the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions/Europa League).

Does Fox Sports still carry the Indian Premier League soccer (or whatever they call it)? Why do they bother? To attract expat Indians perhaps?

Yes they do. I believe it is the by-product of some deal or another.

Optus has a loyal fan base many of whom are diehard EPL and football fans.

I wonder whether the change to the way the A-League operates will change Fox’s position

According to Simon Hill’s article, there are murmurs the leagues are considering renewing with Fox, if FA don’t get their streaming service up.
