Fox Sports signed a contract that included this condition. They shouldn’t be putting the blame onto anyone else.

Wonder why this changes next year? As the deal is the same deal as the last couple of years.

Bathurst shouldn’t be on fox anyway. Should be exclusive on ten.

But Bathurst is part of the Supercars championship. You can’t have one broadcast deal for Bathurst and one for the rest of the season.

Who says you can’t? There’s no law. Sporting bodies are idiots in terms of growing their sports. There’s value in exclusivity.

Many sporting bodies all over the world split up their rights in so many different ways.

But the Grand Final is part of the AFL season. You can’t have one broadcast deal for the Grand Final and one for the rest of the season.

All Supercars events (including Bathurst) will be ad free on Fox Sports next year

hopefully that doesn’t mean Ten cut some of the big races from the Supercars championship

I know that this year TEN telecasted 6 races (Adelaide, Townsville, Wilsons Security, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Newcastle). Will TEN expect to broadcast the same number of races but with different courses?

it’s the same thing they do for the Australian F1 GP. really annoying and frustrating.

I expect Ten to air Clipsal, Albert Park, Townsville, Sandown 500, Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 600 and Newcastle 500. In total Ten will air 7 championship rounds up from 6 in previous years.

Fox Sports Bathurst coverage as we know carries the adverts from TEN - but it seems not all of them and even perhaps a special national (?) version supplied to them from TEN?

When TEN goes to commercial they usually promote a Ten program as you would expect. But Fox does not show these, instead it is straight into commercials and the commercials shown don’t match Ten in Brisbane. Therefore, when the commercials on Fox finish, they are still running on Ten, and Fox returns to the race before Ten.

Looks like it might be a feed of Sydney adverts as a recent break included:

This is the case probably due to the fact ten would sell spot adverts to local markets during the coverage on top of the national ads.

Seems like the last year ten would get revenue based on the fox simulcast.

Any new arrangements seem like a disaster for ten in terms of revenue and identity.
