Thing is they may not need 6 extra channels of content. Just read that a number of PGA Golf events will be going to ESPN in the US from 2020 so how that affects the output deal into Australia is unknown.
Those events in the morning so usually channels are free. Discovery networks have the rights from 2019. No one knows what they’re doing. Either on-sell to Fox Sports, on own networks or OTT streaming.
I believe that’s just for the PGA championship (first two rounds as well, taking over from TNT).
Am curious to see if this Discovery networks deal will change anything for us though. Can’t imagine Fox wanting to let golf go.
The NBL yesterday announced its commentary team for coverage on Fox Sports and Nine for the 2018-19 season. A new signing is Adelaide Crows AFL player and former US College basketballer Hugh Greenwood.

As posted in Ten Sport thread, there will be massive changes to V8 Supercars coverage next year. Sandown 500 moves from mid September to November and will be the second last event of the season before Newcastle 500, swapping dates with Auckland which will be held in mid September. Perth has secured a night race for the first time.

The 2018-19 Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman/Ironwoman Series start next weekend. Like last summer, Fox Sports will broadcast the final round live. Interestingly, the location for the final round has not been revealed yet.

The stars of the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League joined forces with the FOX SPORTS football team in Sydney today to launch the summer of football.
FOX SPORTS hosts Tara Rushton and Adam Peacock were joined on stage by Football Federation Australia CEO David Gallop , Head of FOX SPORTS Peter Campbell and football superstars Keisuke Honda and Samantha Kerr to launch the 2018/19 Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League season.
Speaking at today’s launch, FFA CEO David Gallop AM said: “This season promises to be one of the most exciting in many years.
“Last year, we made a strategic decision together with our broadcast partner Fox Sports to reintroduce the marquee fund for this season.
“I’m delighted that we have been able to secure two truly world class players to our competitions in Sam Kerr and Keisuke Honda.
Speaking from the launch, Head of FOX SPORTS Peter Campbell said: “There is so much to look forward to this summer and FOX SPORTS will be the central destination for fans to see all of the ad-break free action from the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League.”

I notice that Sky Sport NZ is using its own graphics for Wellington Phoenix’s A-League matches at home, beginning with last Sunday’s opening match against Newcastle Jets. Up until last season it was sharing the same A-League graphics with Fox Sports.
fox sports is showing the 1 hour hulu version of smackdown tonight - the first time i’ve seen it on fox. i can’t imaghaine they would get a big audience, especilly given the full version is on fox 8 live on tuesdays
