The 10-part limited drama series A Teacher , starring Kate Mara and Nick Robinson , starts on Sunday, March 21 at 8.30pm AEDT on FOX SHOWCASE and On Demand, with new double episodes premiering every Sunday.

Exploring the complexities and consequences of a predatory relationship, A Teacher follows the stories of Claire Wilson (Mara), a young teacher at a suburban Texas high school and her student, Eric Walker (Robinson).

Beautiful and quietly enigmatic, Claire is the newest teacher at Westerbrook High School. Dissatisfied in her marriage to her college sweetheart Matt Mitchell (Ashley Zukerman), distant from her brother Nate Wilson (Adam David Thompson) and desperate for connection, she quickly befriends fellow teacher, Kathryn Sanders (Marielle Scott).

Claire’s life changes when Eric, a charming all-American senior in her English class, asks for help preparing for his SAT test. Popular and outgoing, Eric is the captain of the soccer team and nearly inseparable from his best friends, Logan Davis (Shane Harper) and Josh Smith (Dylan

Schmid).

Everything seems perfect on the surface, but Eric is forced to juggle the pressures of school, applying for college and a part-time job, all while helping take care of his two younger brothers so his mother Sandy (Rya Ingrid Kihlstedt) can support the family.

As Claire and Eric begin to spend more time together, boundaries are crossed, and a subtle game of grooming begins. The permanent damage left in the wake of Claire’s choices becomes impossible for them, and their friends and family, to ignore.

A Teacher is created by Hannah Fidell and is based on her film of the same name. The series is produced by FX Productions, Aggregate Films and Hola Fidel.

There Is No “I” in Threesome

Premieres Wednesday, March 10 at 8.30pm on FOX SHOWCASE

Currently available to watch On Demand on FOXTEL

The risqué HBO Max Original documentary film There Is No “I” in Threesome premieres on FOX SHOWCASE on Wednesday, March 10 at 8.30pm AEDT and is also currently available to watch On Demand.

Created by New Zealand-based filmmaker Jan Oliver Lucks, The New York Times called the documentary “an astute examination of perspective” and the Los Angeles Times described the final twist as “shocking.”

With their wedding only a year away, filmmaker Lucks and his long-distance fiancée take a giant leap of faith and embark on a colourful adventure of sexual experimentation.

Throwing traditional rules to the wind in favour of an open relationship, they self-document their journey with great honesty - from the good, to the bad, and everything in between.

But what begins as a fun way to explore themselves and satisfy curious libidos quickly evolves into an intense examination of their relationship and how much it can withstand. Filmed primarily using phone cameras and video chats, There Is No “I” in Threesome is an intimate, surprising look at a modern-day love story - with a shocking ending you won’t see coming.

THE LAST CRUISE

Premieres Wednesday, March 31 at 8.30pm AEDT

On FOX SHOWCASE and available On Demand Express from the U.S.

The HBO Original documentary film THE LAST CRUISE premieres express from the U.S. on Wednesday, March 31 at 8.30pm AEDT on FOX SHOWCASE and On Demand .

Using intimate footage recorded by passengers and crew, THE LAST CRUISE is a first-person account of the nightmare that transpired aboard the ill-fated Diamond Princess cruise ship, which set sail from Yokohama, Japan on January 20, 2020 in the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

By February 26, 2020, the ship accounted for more than half of all the documented COVID-19 cases outside of China, with more than 700 people on board infected.

THE LAST CRUISE will have its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in the Documentary Shorts Competition category.

The quarantined Diamond Princess floating in a Japanese harbour became a global spectacle, a faraway symbol of the new virus and its potential to upend any sense of normalcy. Otherworldly scenes – scientists in hazmat suits, passengers in face masks and cleaning teams spraying disinfectant on empty shipboard buffets – packed the nightly news. With little information available about the new virus and limited access to resources, the ship’s cases soared.

Passengers were quarantined in their staterooms for weeks while the number of cases on board skyrocketed. Meanwhile, the crew tended to the passengers, delivered room service and slept and dined in cramped, shared quarters. They’d become what we’d later term “essential workers.” The ship would ultimately account for the first citizens of Argentina, Israel, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, and New Zealand to test positive for COVID-19.

While the Diamond Princess was in quarantine, U.S. government scientists studied what was transpiring on board. Despite their findings that the virus was likely airborne – and that asymptomatic people contributed to the spread – it would be more than one month before the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advised the use of masks. And more than two months – and one million confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States – before the CDC advised testing asymptomatic people who had been exposed to the virus.

HBO Documentary Films presents THE LAST CRUISE directed and produced by Hannah Olson; produced by Shane Boris, Joe Beshenkovsky, and James A Smith. For HBO: executive producers Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller; senior producer, Sara Rodriguez.

Six-Part HBO Documentary series exploring the origins of QAnon

Available On Demand on FOXTEL EXPRESS FROM THE U.S.

Also starts on FOX SHOWCASE on Sunday, April 25 at 8.30pm AEST

The HBO documentary series Q: INTO THE STORM premieres with two back-to-back episodes express from the U.S. today , Monday, March 22 at midday AEDT, available On Demand on FOXTEL.

The six-part series, directed by Cullen Hoback ( Terms and Conditions May Apply ) and executive produced by Adam McKay ( Succession ), will premiere new episodes back-to-back each week. The series will also air on FOX SHOWCASE from Monday, April 25 at 8.30pm AEST.

Spanning three years in the making and traversing the globe, the series follows filmmaker Cullen Hoback on an intricate journey to uncover the forces behind QAnon – a movement fuelled by conspiracy theories that have grown in scope and political significance – chronicling its evolution in real time and revealing how “Q” uses information warfare to game the internet, hijack politics and manipulate people’s thinking.

Hoback gains unprecedented access to key players including Jim and Ron Watkins, the father/son team behind the 8chan website, the site “Q” calls home; explores their rivalry with Fredrick Brennan, the original creator of the platform; and interviews “Q-tubers”, Q debunkers, political operatives, and journalists who have been closely following the movement since it began in 2017.

The series examines the connections between QAnon, President Trump, and political and ex-military operatives. It also explores QAnon’s influence on American culture and politics and probes the consequences of unfettered free speech permeating the darkest corners of the internet.

Said McKay: "Nothing takes away the power of conspiracy theories and lies more than exposing them to the light of day. And Cullen’s three-year deep dive into the world of Q and the dark fringes of the internet is a powerful blast of clarity and truth exactly when we need it. I can’t believe he pulled this off.”

Said Cullen: “QAnon derives its power from anonymity and secrecy, so I set out to unmask and demystify the whole thing, gaining access to key players over the course of several years. Audiences can take an unfiltered look at what transpired behind the scenes and uncover the forces that drove Q’s most ardent believers to storm the Capitol."

HBO Documentary Films presents A Hyrax Films Production in association with Hyperobject Industries. Q: INTO THE STORM is written, filmed and directed by Cullen Hoback; executive producers, Adam McKay, Todd Schulman; co-executive producers, Ben Selkow, Zac Stuart-Pontier; producers, Cullen Hoback, Alina Solodnikova; co-producers, Cristine Dewey, Annie Roney, Peter Baxter, John Ramos, David Diliberto.
