There are podcasts that are more informative than NRL360. Like This Week in League. Or me at any given moment.
Yep. It turned into a podcast over the last couple of years as @AustralianAerial pointed out from what it used to be. I used to admire it when they would chuck out the run down for a breaking story and report on that but theyâve gone away from that certainly post Covid.
I agree. I suspect thereâs some internal legal issues at play however around this and his employment regarding what they can say. Those same things donât apply (barring defamation etc) when talking about an external issue.
The audio of the director or vision switcher was coming through during the telecast of Dragons V Roosters for a minute just then.
What time?
Was this done after the replay?
It was ahead of the coachesâ media conferences.
So it wasnât âreplayed at the final sirenâ?
The replay was slated for 11pm AEST.
I donât know whether there wouldâve been a requirement to wait until Nine were off the air completely, but with the usual kick-off time, the game wouldâve sprayed out well beyond 10pm in any case, so planning a 10pm time like they normally could if started a little earlier, wouldâve been a bit of a struggle.
Itâs been done every year for the last couple of years but to be honest why they even bother who knows? The only thing they have over the FTA network is the live presser.
I see the ink is barely dry on the charge sheet of an NRL player and Fox is going hard on it online - yet still fails to give even scant coverage to someone who is employed by the same network.
That shouldnât surprise anyone.
Yes its double standards, but media outlets have always done this.
FOX ULTRA is another camera FOX use which is just like a Super Slo-Mo.
Player media boycott:
Telstra, Harvey Norman and Chemist Warehouse are all returning as major sponsors, with KFC the new naming rights sponsor for NRLW live games.
Westpac has come on board as the naming rights sponsor of a new NRLW entertainment show hosted by Lara Pitt, NRLW ON FOX.
A full schedule of NRL menâs and womenâs matches between this weekend and September, means some NRLW matches will be shown on a different Fox Sports channel every weekend.
For example, for this weekendâs opening round of NRLW, this afternoonâs Knights v Dragons (3.10pm AEST kickoff) will air on Fox Sports 506, while Broncos v Roosters tonight (7.45pm AEST kickoff) will be shown on Fox Sports 507. Sundayâs game between Sharks and Raiders (1.50pm AEST kickoff) will be shown on Fox Sports 506.
Are commentators going to be doubling up games?
Make sure to get caps someone of these new âwatermarksâ. Iâm out so canât.
Titans/Cowboys was Matt Russell with Corey Parker and Jo Barrett
Knights/Dragons is Ben Homer with Sam Bremner and Jake Duke
Matt Russell doubled up with calling NRL as well
