Fox League

When was it ever watchable?

Agreed - although he might have to be subject to a no-fault stand-down immediately. If an NRL player gets done for domestic violence in the coming wee while - while Kent’s case is before the court, it’s going to be very awkward.

I thought Yvonne Sampson was superb when she got the gig for a brief period when Ikin left. Would like to see her return in some capacity.

There was a couple of years there when it was genuine agenda setting/news wrap. Interviews inside camps etc. Now it’s become a vessel for Fox League to both peddle and manufacture clickbait.

But this is News Corp Australia and NRL media. He will either stick around on Rupe’s dime with no consequences, or he’ll turn up elsewhere with no consequences.

Like the rest of News Corp. I’m gonna say it. If he does get the arse, Erin Molan will replace him. Clickbait is right in her wheelhouse.

I hope she stays on 2Day brekkie - or somewhere where I’m less likely to see/hear her… I was not a fan of her when she was on Nine.

And where still waiting for the headline to appear on a Newslimited website… Because apparently if they don’t mention it, it probably never happened.

Nine are just as bad really - I don’t recall them reporting on Cameron Williams’s issues when he was at Nine.

Wasn’t that reporting done only AFTER he left Nine though?

As I recall he left Nine very quietly and then they reported on it after he left.

If her show continues to tank, she will have no choice. Unless she returns to Nine via 2GB.

Let’s face it, she has the experience, would fit the MO. And would allow her to do her Sky News show. Probably fit her well, better than 2Day.

AFL360 has pretty well remained this but NRL360 morphed into this waste of space that became more about the personalities on the show and their relentless push for gutter journalism

Do we think they’ll acknowledge his absence on the show? Or just ignore it?

Again, why Erin Molan should be hosting this show. If she gets the arse from 2Day, and she will, just extend her duties. Simple. Same level of intelligence and journalistic integrity as Kent.

Yeah yeah, we get your point, you don’t need to repeat it every post.

Except that Kent is employed as a sports journalist covering Rugby League. Fox has done a decent job of trying to get women involved in the coverage, inserting someone for the sole purpose that you suggest does significant damage to that work.

This offers Fox a decent opportunity to reshape what 360 looks like and how it covers the game

That they have. But I can see Fox doing it. She has name recognition. I can’t see Fox change NRL360 for the better.

Gorden Tallis replacing Paul Kent this week, (very) briefly addressed by Braith Anasta saying he has been stood down due to personal issues.

May as well have not mentioned it at all. Tear this show down and start again.

And now decending into four men talking over each other. It’s 2023, just start a podcast.

It is a big rating show for fox, it won’t be going anywhere.

This is basically 4 blokes having a beer in the pub with a camera - fuck me it’s woeful. When Gorden Tallis is the brightest football mind in any conversation, you’ve got problems.

The hypocrisy is staggering - if it was a player in this circumstance, they’d dedicate most of the episode to pulling it apart - yet when its a panelist, it gets a 10-second (if that) ā€œoh he’s got personal issues this weekā€ and they carry on as if nothing has happened.

This shit damages the game immeasurably
