Yes, I wonder why are only 5 games in 4K, given they’re all at the same venue?
I can only think the other 3 games conflict with something else?
It wouldn’t be AFL because of the overlaps with the 5 NRL games that are in 4K.
Yes, I wonder why are only 5 games in 4K, given they’re all at the same venue?
I can only think the other 3 games conflict with something else?
It wouldn’t be AFL because of the overlaps with the 5 NRL games that are in 4K.
Wouldn’t it be due to Nine being the ‘host broadcaster’ for the other 3 games so they wouldn’t be producing a 4K feed?
Possibly, but given they each have their own graphics, wouldn’t they be produced separately using the same source feed?
And that source feed wouldn’t be in 4K as Nine are the main broadcaster. They aren’t going to pay for a 4K OB truck if they don’t have to.
Its HD/4K truck. There not only 4k compatible
How do you know what specific truck Nine is going to use? I doubt every OB truck in Australia is outfitted with 4K.
There’ s 3 maybe four now, I’m not sure on the exact number. But these newer trucks are 4k and HD regardless so nine would be using the same truck as fox.
And I reckon it will be a while before we see an 8K truck.
FOX LEAGUE ’s agenda-setting, hit magazine show NRL 360 will move to a new 7.30pm timeslot from Monday, May 20.
The change will allow more viewers and fans to access and watch NRL 360 , as hosts Ben Ikin and Daily Telegraph reporter Paul Kent dissect all of the big talking points, from every angle, that are impacting the game on and off the field.
Premiere episodes of NRL 360 will now air each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7.30pm on Foxtel’s FOX LEAGUE (Channel 502) with encores airing at 9.30pm and 11.30pm.
“NRL 360 more often than not sets the agenda with its opinion and latest news around the code and we consistently get feedback from fans and viewers that they struggle to get home early enough to watch the show at 6.30pm, so moving the NRL 360 to 7.30pm will allow more fans to see the show live,” FOX SPORTS Head of Television, Steve Crawley said.
As a result of NRL 360 moving timeslots, FOX LEAGUE has also announced that the hit audio podcast, The Matty Johns Podcast , will now become a television show of the same name, airing on Wednesday nights at 8.30pm from May 22.
The Matty Johns Podcast is hosted by FOX LEAGUE’s Matty Johns , who is joined by Kent and FOX LEAGUE journalist James Hooper for an hour-long chat about rugby league, with the trio telling entertaining stories, always with a touch of wit and humour, about the game they love.
LEAGUE LIFE , which previously aired on Wednesday nights, can now be seen on Tuesday nights from 8.30pm. Hosted by Yvonne Sampson , Lara Pitt , Jess Yates and Hannah Hollis , LEAGUE LIFE will continue to conduct the big interviews and reveal the most inspiring and remarkable stories in the game.
The schedule changes will also see Queenslanders Only and The Greatest take a break from their current timeslots.

Probably makes sense but not ideal for NZ viewers where it had developed a strong following on Sky.
Axed, then?
My thoughts exactly…
Not for the first time Fox League had its own coverage of a Warriors home game. I notice for today’s game against Melbourne, Fox League used its own graphics and commentators, rather than taking the Sky Sport feed.
Have done all year and most of last. I’ve voiced my opinion on this topic numerous times as the Call of the game is not authentic and the commentators mix players up and where on the field they are regularly, as well as missing a lot off the ball.
The NRL.com highlights use the Sky commentary.
The Sunday Telegraph reports Fox League has another reshuffle of its line-up. Big League Wrap will move to Sunday night and will follow The Matty Johns Show. Controversy Corner moves to Monday night after NRL 360.
FOX LEAGUE, on Foxtel, will provide rugby league fans with the best analysis of the State of Origin decider, Cameron Smith’s history making 400th game and Benji Marshall and Gavin Cooper’s 300th games with a bumper line-up of shows and guests scheduled across the week.
FOX LEAGUE will pay tribute to Smith, Marshall and Cooper with a host of classic games schedule throughout the week.
FOX LEAGUE will show Smith’s 400th game exclusively LIVE, ad-break free during play and in HD on Saturday night at 7.30pm ahead of a special one hour documentary Cam Smith: His Story immediately following the match at 9.45pm.
A Sunday Ticket Triple-Header kicks-off with Cooper’s 300th game at 2.00pm before Marshall leads the Tigers out for his 300th game at 4.00pm.
On Tuesday, NRL 360 will speak with Queensland coach Kevin Walters and New South Wales assistant coach Danny Buderus at the special time of 6.30pm before recalled Blues halfback Mitchell Pearce goes one-on-one with Jake and Tom Trbojevic in a League Life special at 7.30pm.
The attention then turns to Sydney on Wednesday night with Megan Barnard, Matt Shirvington and former State of Origin stars Matt Ballin and Tim Mannah bringing fans all the latest news from both camps with a special 90 minute edition of NRL Tonight from 5.30pm.
FOX SPORTS NEWS will bring fans all the breaking storylines from The Decider with Full Time Live: Origin Edition at 10.00pm on Wednesday night immediately following the match.

Jersey Flegg on the EPG tomorrow LIVE from Mt Smart Stadium the Warriors vs the Sharks. This I believe is the first time a Flegg game has been shown on Fox League. The Canterbury Cup game which is following this is not shown on Fox League here in Australia but will still be LIVE in NZ on Sky.
I believe Sky first started broadcasting these standalone games a few weeks ago but it was never shown here.
Fox league Started showing select Jersey Flegg games back in April
Really who between?
Sharks v bulldogs. Hard to exactly recall because it was months ago. But I know that the jersey flegg games when they are on, are always first on at about 10am.
