My recollection is that with the updated and extended broadcast deal, Fox Footy when streamed online (Go/Now/Watch/Kayo etc) no longer need to show the Ch7 feed, but can take the 504 feed without ads, same as the satellite and cable customers. Is this correct or am I misremembering things. If so, that would be great. Reason I ask is that Footy Play+ (the Foxtel Go channel) isnât showing any games which it normally does for Ch7 games.
I hope youâre right!
They will still take the Seven call though.
yes of course. no ads with ch7 commentary is better than ads and ch7 commentary
I was so hoping they would do there own call this year. The quality of the 7 commentary is terrible.
Who thought it was a good idea to replace Bruce with James Brayshaw?
The same person who thought it was a good idea to keep Bruce past about 2015
No youâre right - Kayo didnât switch to Sevenâs feed tonight
How good. Thank you telstra for finally removing yourself from where you shouldnât be.
Strangely though, the old âreplace the Fox feed with a Seven feedâ thing still applies to AFLW. Seems odd that the rights for both menâs and womenâs games arenât aligned.
Itâs due to AFLW coming under a separate 4 year rights deal which ends after the conclusion of the 2022 season
He is calling todayâs match between Melbourne and Fremantle at the MCG.

Appears to be the case, maybe until Eddie comes back (if he does?)
Do we know when Matt Hill starts commentating?
The AFL this morning announced details of the 2021 W Awards, which wil be shown live and exclusive on Fox Footy on Tuesday night, April 20, just a couple of days after the AFLW grand final. Similar to last yearâs Brownlow Medal count, the live vote count for the AFLW best and fairest will be broadcast from five different locations around Australia including the SCG, The Gabba, Adelaide Oval, Melbourneâs Crown Palladium, and Optus Stadium. Each venue will host a VIP carpet to welcome guests prior to the live vote count.
Kelli Underwood and Leith Montagna commentated the Sunday night match between GWS and Melbourne.
Anthony Hudson and Dwayne Russell commentated the afternoon game together, when normally one would have done the afternoon game and the other the evening game.
First time she commentated an AFL game on Fox Footy having done AFLW in the past. Donât mind her commentary at all as she already called AFL on 10 12 years ago
She did latches last season too
