Probably a good decision given its such a high stakes game for both teams - not a great look having a full W.A. call team.
Also notice Howie doing a rare Sunday game (Dogs v Eagles) given there’s no Thursday night game.

Adam will probably call tonight AFLW Eagles vs Suns
The program will air on Fox Footy at Thursday afternoons at 4.30pm AEST, with replays on Fridays at 4.30pm AEST and Saturday mornings, running through to mid-November. Episodes are available via Kayo Sports’ YouTube channel, Kayo Sports and Foxtel. Short-form segments are also produced for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts.
Has Fox decided to take 7’s broadcast for the AFLW instead of doing their own or do they not have the rights for that with AFLW even with the new broadcast?
“All AFL and AFLW home and away games and finals (excluding the AFL Grand Final) will be broadcast on Foxtel and Kayo, with their own commentary teams”
I assume it’s money saving?
I smell DAZN in here
I doubt Fox would do their own call for all AFLW home and away games if it was still owned by News Corp.
Fox Footy (504) went to Fre v Bri dead on 8:20 EST; did not delay the cut-off til half-time, was even announced during the call of the Ess V StK match.
The graphic to accompany the announcement.
Quick note: On the “Match story” section of the AFL app, for some reason, the Fox live bug was inserted over the Seven video feed.
Bit superfluous imo; Dwayne mentioned it incessantly during the call leading up to the cut-off.
So I’m pretty sure Fox have turned off their blur filter for the HAW v MEL match on 504; scorebug sharp as a tack, much more aliasing on thin lines during the coverage e.g. boundary lines & signage in the background. Hope it’s the start of a trend, but I doubt it.
Fox had some troubles with AFLW scorebug
Geelong with Melbourne Red
Sunday Ticket when it’s Saturday

GWS instead of Geelong
Not the first time then.
This was a weird combination of 3 teams and wrong day ![]()
“Fox Sports 3” don’t even know the name of their own channels?
I think they’re gradually migrating back to having them numbered sequentially from 1 rather than channel number based to better work with Kayo/Hubbl
But it’s still 503 that’s the thing. Don’t they still say “live on 503” on the dual game popups?
Starting from this moment, this graphic replaced the promos for upcoming games for about 3 game minutes.
Because it sticks out like a sore thumb, during the replays, BRI’s position is intact on the screen.
This afternoon Fox Sports are showing two AFLW matches simultaneously: Melbourne v St Kilda on 503 and Gold Coast v Sydney on 507.
Fox are using the Friday Night Footy wipes for some reason.
giants vs saints called from Melbourne. Corbin doing the commentating and he was on ABC offsiders earlier. So it seems unlikely he went to Engie stadium after that finished at 10:30am before the 12:20pm start
