I also hate it how they always go on about “the great innovations Fox Cricket has brought to the game”. Spidercam (Flying Fox), Hawkeye, a remote control camera (Foxyrover/Fox Sports Rover/Fox Cricket Rover), six distance trackers (Fox Tracer), wagon wheels, player mics (‘listening’), scorepredictor and WinViz/CricViz, just to name a few. They’ve all been done before. You don’t see 7 going on about the ‘Toyota Fanzone’ or 9 about the 9Now NRL player cams!
EDIT: I get talking about it for the first season, but when they’ve been around for a while, it gets a bit stale.
it is called good branding and advertising…
I get that, but it’s just excessive.
I’m surprised by your comments tonight. Your username is @foxyrover after all.

Aus A v India match I can hear the ABC commentators in the background on the Fox coverage
Is the ABC commentating it? Seems odd.
Think it was occasional coverage during national grandstand, but if you watch a replay of the Aus v NZ ODI played in March at an empty SCG there were times you could hear the ABC callers through the effects microphones. They call their games through open windows when possible.
Yep, on the ABC Listen app and I’m guessing ABC Sport dab+.
Sarah Jones hosting Super Sunday (games from Blundstone Arena) today, with Mel Jones and Andrew Symonds, from the studio. It’s a new studio, similar size to Fox Footy’s.
Also I saw an article on Fox Sports claiming Ricky Ponting as a commentator for Fox. “Both batters were ‘jinxed’ by Ricky Ponting in commentary for Fox Cricket”
I understand it on a technicality because Fox were using 7’s feed but they didn’t have to mention “commentary for Fox Cricket”, they could of just used “Ricky Ponting in commentary”
This is what I’ve been saying!
Australian great Ricky Ponting had earlier in the match called on the Strikers to use the X-Factor substitution.
He said on Fox Cricket: “All the teams have been saying, ‘we’ll use it if we’re four down or five down early and sub a batsman out, bring a bowler in.’
Both batters were ‘jinxed’ by Ricky Ponting in commentary for Fox Cricket. Before each were dismissed, Punter had declared the batter must not get out that over and needed to play safely - only for them to get out immediately afterwards.
This is 5 lines from each other…on the Fox Cricket labeled website!
Cricket Australia have confirmed the schedule for the rest of the men’s domestic summer today. Fox Cricket will be broadcasting the Sheffield Shield final which will be held from 15 April 2021. They’ll also broadcast 13 matches of the Marsh One-Day Cup, with the final to be held on 30 April!
Surely fox cricket live stream the remaining Marsh cup games live on there channel like they did for the WBBL on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the tour matches.
Fox Cricket Taking Channel 7 Coverage with ads removed, Foxtel are doing studio coverage with Brendon Julian, Brad Haddin and Mark Waugh. On Channel 7 commentary is done by Jason Richardson, Brad Hodge and Damien Fleming, with Glenn Maxwell on the player mic.
