Fox Cricket

Neroli Meadows in the studio for today’s game on Fox.

Looks like The Cricket Tragic may be one of the new magazine shows coming to Fox Cricket this summer. A clip was shown in the pre-match coverage for the women’s T20 game.

Sounds right up KoKs alley.

anyone know who is commentating todays JLT game?

Brendan Julian, Mel Jones (after the women’s T20 ended), Andrew Symonds, Brett Lee & Darren Lehmann

Confirmation in a interview with Brendon Julian this morning on Perth radio that Cricket 360 will be one of the new shows this summer. He said it will air once a week and presumably post-match for the duration of the six tests.

He also said that Shane Warne is likely to present his own show to air around the boxing day test.

Of course he is, the flog.

But seriously, as the highest paid sports identity on broadcast, he needs to be utilised more than just on a test or BBL here and there, so makes sense.

Brendon Julian is the most annoying commentator out there

Fox Cricket has broadcaster 10 games so far, BJ has been in 7 of these.

Indian fans getting all pissed off and rightly so with no coverage of the upcoming India v West Indies series. Fox Sports have shown most if not all the international cricket from India for quite some time now,so not showing this series considering the start of the new channel seems odd.

Still better than Border. :grimacing:

Interestingly it seems they’ll be streaming it via the Fox Sports website instead of broadcasting the match.

Could have something to do with the dates of India v West Indies overlapping with Pakistan v Australia in UAE then Australia’s home series against South Africa. With the new seasons of A-League and NBL starting soon, and Fox Sports not having enough spare channels, India v West Indies series could become the first victim of live sports overflowing.

It’s a wet day in Sydney for today’s JLT Cup match, so Fox Cricket are now showing live play of the India vs West Indies test match. They’ll return to the game in Sydney if/when the weather clears and play is possible.

It’s not like there’s 24/7 live sport on all the Fox Sports channels. Good that they’re showing it while the JLT is in rain delay. What about next Friday when there’s no live cricket on Fox Cricket and India v West Indies is still not broadcast?

Confirmation in a Tweet posted this morning that Gus Worland is joining Fox Cricket for a new show.

In other news, the channel will have an “official launch” event in Sydney next Tuesday.

India v West Indies again on Fox Cricket today. Common sense prevailing.

will the Australia Womens tour to Malaysia to play Pakistan be on Fox Cricket

Pakistan v Australia series in United Arab Emirates

A fresh faced Australian cricket team will commence a new era this Sunday, October 7 when they venture to the UAE to take on Pakistan in two Tests and three T20’s, LIVE only on FOX CRICKET on FOXTEL.

In a new phase for Australian Cricket, a refreshed Test team line-up will be out to set the tone for the Australian summer ahead, where every Australian Test, ODI, T20I, Women’s International and Big Bash League match on home soil will be seen LIVE on FOX SPORTS’ dedicated channel, FOX CRICKET.

FOX CRICKET expert and former Australian captain, Allan Border, said: “With change comes new opportunity and that’s what our new look Test team will take to Dubai, with players getting a wonderful opportunity to prove themselves.

“Australia in their new guise will be comfortable with being the underdog, a position we traditionally thrive on. They will go into this series quietly confident of beating Pakistan in hot and dry conditions, making for two very interesting Test matches before we mix it with their best over three T20 games.”

Joining Border in Dubai to cover the Australia matches will be FOX CRICKET team members Mike Hussey and Brendon Julian, while Neroli Meadows will host the coverage alongside Mark Waugh and Brett Lee LIVE from the studio.

Following the two match Test series, Australia’s best short form players will be let loose in a three match T20 International Series starting October 25. Big Bash heroes Aaron Finch, Chris Lynn and D’Arcy Short will be out to show the world their supreme skills in the green and gold.

Launching ahead of the summer of cricket, the new dedicated FOX CRICKET channel will provide more cricket to fans than ever before, with all forms of the game available on the one channel.

As the new home of cricket, all men’s Test Matches, One-Day and T20 Internationals plus every game of the Big Bash League will be shown LIVE, ad break free during play and in HD on FOX CRICKET. Women’s cricket will receive unprecedented coverage with Women’s Internationals and 23 WBBL games LIVE and LIVE coverage of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20.

In addition, Foxtel’s dedicated 4K channel (channel 444), which begins October, will bring cricket fans Foxtel in 4K just in time for the November 4, Australia v. South Africa ODI, which will kick off Foxtel’s sports coverage in 4K, bringing the sights of the game to fans like never before.
