Fox Cricket

Yeah, the original Fox Footy ran from 2002 - 2006 before it ended due to uncertainty which surrounded whether Foxtel would be a rightsholder (which they ultimately became) alongside Seven & Ten between 2007 - 2012

He did (you can hear his commentary via highlights on the Cricket Australia website).

The slants are way too curved that’s the biggest issue.

First Seven, now Fox Sports with this play by play nonsense.

my understanding is that Fox was always going to be broadcasting it with their own team over there.

Brendan Julian is much the face of Fox Cricket- He just annoys me so much

Surely Fox have something else to play in the innings break for the JLT matches. The ‘Fox Cricket Is Here’ package on the commentary line-up has been played in the innings break for all but the first match! Getting a bit old now…

A two-part documentary series titled Two Nations, One Obsession will air on Fox Cricket in November/December in the lead up to the first test against India. From documentary filmmaker Peter Dickson, who produced the Forged In Fire series that aired on Nine during the last Ashes series.

In terms of rivalries in world sport, there is arguably none as fierce as that between the Australian and Indian cricket. Now, sit back and listen to many of the biggest names in cricketing history tell their side of the story – from behind the remarkable 1986 Tied Test in Madras, to the dramatic 2001 series, and the infamous ‘Monkey Gate’ scandal in the 2007/08 series where relations between India and Australia reached its lowest ebb. Featuring the likes of Allan Border, Adam Gilchrist, and Michael Kasprowicz, alongside Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Dilip Vengsarkar, and many more – this isn’t just an epic Cricket story – it’s a tale of how two countries with such different DNA can be brought together for the love of a game.

Ooh great news! Really looking forward to it. The Forged in Fire series was very well produced and engaging.

Former Australian coach Darren Lehmann is set to be commentating for Fox on Monday’s JLT Cup game between NSW and VIC, alongside Brendon Julian, Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds.

BJ, Mel Jones and new recruit Alex Blackwell are based in a studio for tonights womens game

Perhaps similar to League coverage where even if both networks are showing the coverage, only the host broadcaster can host from the ground?

Just a thought and I’ll guess we’ll see as the summer goes on.

Looks like Seven are providing the feed/graphics for this game.

No separate commentators. This rights deal is becoming more and more pointless.

Fox will have a separate commentary team for the Men’s internationals because they are providing the feed.

But the Women’s games don’t appear to merit much effort from the broadcaster.

Tom Morris and Mark Howard rotating in today’s game like it’s a requirement that one or both of them be commentating at all times. This play by play thing is becoming widespread. Lets hope it’s just for domestic cricket as a cheap fill for the commentary box and not a trial for the internationals.

NSW v Qld will move back to Fox Cricket once women’s Twenty20 international finishes.

First Time Fox Sports 503 is used for Alterninate Live Cricket Coverage when Fox Cricket is used for Live Coverage, Similar to what Fox Footy in the Winter does when Two Matches go live at Once.
