The Summer of The Century begins this Thursday, August 13 when Day 1 of the NRMA Insurance Bangladesh Test series gets underway in Darwin, LIVE and ad-break free during play on Fox Cricket, available on Kayo SPORTS, part of DAZN Australia.
The first international Test match in the Top End for more than two decades will be delivered by an all-star commentary line-up of Adam Gilchrist – who played in Australia’s last Test in Darwin against Bangladesh in 2003 - Alyssa Healy, Kerry O’Keeffe, David Warner, Mark Waugh and Brendon Julian.
Healy, who called stumps on her cricket career at the end of last summer, will make her first appearance in the commentary box since being announced as the newest permanent member of the Fox Cricket family.
The pre-game show begins at 9.30am AEST (9.00am local Darwin time) on Day 1 before the first ball at 10:30am.
The Top End tour will officially launch eight months of cricket for the Australian men’s side across all three formats, with every match of The Summer of the Century LIVE on Fox Sports, available on Kayo SPORTS, part of DAZN Australia.

The Summer of the Century includes eight months of action, starting for the men’s team with the Top End Test Series against Bangladesh in August, then features clashes, across all three formats, with South Africa, England, New Zealand, and India, before culminating in the 150th Anniversary Test Match at the MCG in March.
In their return to the field after winning the T20 World Cup, the women’s side will host Bangladesh, New Zealand, and South Africa in successive white ball series on home soil from October.
The highly anticipated domestic T20 schedule will begin in Chennai, India, when Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers play in the BBL16 opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on December 12, and the WBBL campaign commences on October 29 in Melbourne.

Side note - very surprised Howie isn’t involved for at least the Darwin test with no Thursday night AFL game this week. Maybe Fox having both Corbin Middlemas and Mark Howard at the cricket would make it too difficult to cover all 5 Saturday games? Only reason I can see why he isn’t calling.

I am only surprised that Brett Lee isn’t part of the coverage, the other regulars were never likely to be available due to other commitments.

Pity about the audio (on Kayo theirmics are atrocious)
Not mentioned on the press release so assumed they were going to skimp on 4k production like what they did with the August ODIs last year.

Saw during the review that Snicko is now called “ECHO”? Is it just a name change or has Fox started using a new company after the controversy of last summer?

Nobody has one sadly.
It’s pretty poor stuff considering it’s a Test series and Fox Cricket is the world feed. Athar Ali Khan is the main Bangladeshi voice heard on all Bangladesh tours plus ICC tournaments for as long as I can remember but apparently not good enough for Fox.

Nice to see they are actually in Darwin though and aren’t doing it remotely. Like they did in the white ball series last year.
