The second Test of the NRMA Insurance Bangladesh Test series begins this Saturday, August 22, with Australia looking to rectify their defeat in Darwin when they take on Bangladesh in Mackay. Viewers can watch the second Test LIVE and ad-break free during play on Fox Cricket, available on Kayo SPORTS, part of DAZN.
Australia has made changes following the defeat in Darwin, with Queensland’s Matthew Renshaw replacing Jake Weatherald at the top of the order as the hosts look to level the series at Great Barrier Reef Arena.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, arrives in Mackay after securing its first ever Test win on Australian soil in Darwin. A second victory would see Bangladesh wrap up the series.
Wicket keeper Alex Carey will make his 50th Test appearance, while teammates Steve Smith and Mitchell Starc are also chasing milestones: Smith can move into third spot on Australia’s all-time Test runs scorers’ list, with just 50 runs required to move above former captain Steve Waugh, while Starc is just four wickets away from entering the top 10 for all-time Test wickets taken.
Allan Border and Mike Hussey join Adam Gilchrist, Alyssa Healy, Kerry O’Keeffe, Mark Waugh and Brendon Julian, who were part of the first Test commentary team, for the Mackay match.
On the series opener in Darwin**, Fox Cricket expert commentator Adam Gilchrist said:**

We witnessed history in Darwin with the win for Bangladesh and some incredible moments; Hasan Mahmud’s man of the match bowling effort, an impressive century from Tanzid Hasan and then Cameron Green delivering in the face of all the pressure he has been under.”
Looking ahead to the second Test, Gilchrist added:
“I am excited for what Mackay is going to offer up and looking forward to seeing how Australia responds with the series on the line.”
“Test cricket at this time of the year might not be what the Australian public is used to but, with all that is riding on this match for Pat Cummins and his side, it is a brilliant addition to the sporting calendar and the perfect entertainment during the day, leading into the business end of the season in the AFL and NRL in the evenings.”
The pre-game show begins on Day 1 at 9.00am AEST, before the first ball at 10:00am.
The Top End tour is the first offering of eight months of cricket for the Australian men’s side across all three formats, with every match of The Summer of the Century LIVE on DAZN’s Australian platforms Kayo SPORTS and FOXTEL.

In their return to the field after winning the T20 World Cup, the women’s side will host Bangladesh, New Zealand, and South Africa in successive white ball series on home soil from October.
The highly anticipated domestic T20 schedule will begin in Chennai, India, when Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers play in the BBL16 opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on December 12, and the WBBL campaign commences on October 29 in Melbourne.

Just on this, during the DRS today, the 3rd umpire said “can we confirm with ECHO” when last test match & normally they used “RTS or Snicko”

Gerard Whateley will feature as part of the Fox Cricket commentary team during Kayo SPORTS’ Summer of the Century.
A long-time member of the Kayo SPORTS and DAZN family, Whateley is in his 17th season as host of Fox Footy’s AFL 360 and part of the commentary team that brings every game of every AFL round to viewers throughout the season.
One of Australia’s most recognisable sports commentators, Whateley has called the world’s biggest sporting events, including the AFL Grand Final, Melbourne
Cup, Royal Ascot, Super Bowl, and swimming and athletics events at multiple Summer Olympics. He has also been the lead caller on SEN’s cricket commentary team since 2018 and hosts a radio show, daily, on the network in Melbourne.Whateley joins Alyssa Healy as a new face in the Fox Cricket commentary box for The Summer of the Century, adding to world class line up that features Adam Gilchrist, Isa Guha, Kerry O’Keeffe, Michael Hussey, Mel Jones, Mark Howard, Brendon Julian, Brett Lee, Ian Smith, Michael Vaughan, Mark Waugh, David Warner, and Allan Border.

The CA article also includes Fox Cricket and Kayo’s broadcast schedule of the tour. All three ODIs in Zimbabwe, the first two ODIs in South Africa, and all three tests in South Africa, are day games. Fox Cricket and Kayo will also show a two-day warm-up game on October 3 and 4.

Goodbye to Fox Cricket!
In 2027, Fox Sports and Kayo Sports will come together under one Kayo Sports brand. Fox Footy, Fox Cricket and Fox League will become Kayo Footy, Kayo Cricket and Kayo League, with the remaining Fox Sports channels becoming Kayo Sports.

From cuddling puppies to going full Hasselhoff, pulling on the mechanic overalls and getting romantic with an English rose, Travis has thrown himself into seven very different summer scenes, all in the name of helping cricket fans keep track of what’s coming.

The calendar features every Australian and international fixture of the Summer of the Century, plus every BBL and WBBL game broadcast on Kayo SPORTS, putting the entire cricket season in one place.

“I think it’s not a summer without turning the cricket on. It’s backyard cricket, it’s turning the TV on, it’s turning Kayo SPORTS on and watching the cricket. It’s good lifelong memories for a lot of people.”
