Tonight at 7.00pm on Fox Cricket
Host Brendon Julian is joined by Mark Waugh to provide in-depth analysis of the upcoming First Ashes Test between hosts England and Australia at Edgbaston.
Before the home summer gets underway, Australia will head to India in October/November to fight for the Cricket World Cup:
The 2023/24 BBL fixture was officially released at 10am AEST today, but some details were released exclusively to News Corp papers beforehand.
Apart from the reductions of the number of matches (40, 10 home and away games per team) and a new finals format, a major change is that there will be no Christmas Eve fixture this year.
Fox Cricket will again show every match live.
And there’s the reason why I won’t be watching it. Diluted the quality of the broadcast being simulcast.
Fox Cricket will have live coverage of the first ever season of Major League Cricket USA. It starts this Friday (July 14) at 10.10am AEST, when Texas Super Kings face Los Angeles Knight Riders, the first of eight league games at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas before the teams move to Church Street Park Stadium in Morrisville, North Carolina for the next seven. Former Australian T20 and ODI captain Aaron Finch and Marcus Stoinis are playing for San Francisco Unicorns.
I’ll be interested to see how this goes, and what the quality of the American pitches will be like.
Will be tuning in
Yes, San Francisco is owned by Cricket Victoria with Washington Freedom owned by Cricket NSW
No they’re not - CNSW and CV have signed development partnerships with the teams
Fake news mate. They just have high performance and development partnerships. All the other teams are owned by IPL franchisees.
2023 WBBL fixture was released this morning.
Ringwood in Melbourne’s outer east will host a WBBL match for the very first time, on Wednesday afternoon, November 8, between Stars and Sixers.
Also, Fox Cricket’s commitments to show ICC Cricket World Cup from India means some WBBL matches will be shown on a different Fox Sports channel, with details to be confirmed later.
yet we still don’t have a AFLW fixture…
This is just trash scheduling. Weekday afternoons in the suburbs - that’s good for neither TV or families attending.
They should run a shorter WBBL with prime time and weekend slots and full TV coverage - and run a separate domestic T20 comp with the WNCL teams to create the developmental league for the players, where you can do these weekday matches and lower tier venues.
It’s hardly a “big bash” in Ringwood at 3pm.
Problem as well and a major failure on CV’s part is that they didn’t install lighting at Citipower, thus meaning all games there are 1 or 3pm.
Cricket Australia yesterday released the 2023-24 domestic fixture.
Kayo will stream live every match of Marsh One-Day Cup, Sheffield Shield and Women’s National Cricket League, while Foxtel will show 13 matches of Marsh One-Day Cup including final on February 25, as well as the finals of Sheffield Shield (March 21-24) and WNCL (February 24).
The draft for both leagues will be a televised event on Fox Cricket, with the WBBL draft taking place from 3pm on Sunday, September 3, ahead of the BBL draft from 4.30pm.
