ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final

The Australian Women’s cricket team will get their chance to conquer the world from their own backyard, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, when the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final is LIVE with no ad-breaks during play this Sunday, March 8 from 5.00pm on FOX CRICKET.

In front of an expected world record crowd against India, Australia will lean on captain Meg Lanning to guide them to glory with Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Megan Schutt, Jess Jonassen, Sophie Molineux and Delissa Kimmince stepping up to fill the void left by superstar Elysse Perry.

Having lost to India in the opening match of the tournament, Australia will be keen to return the favour when it matters most in and lift the World Cup trophy on International Women’s Day on home soil.

FOX SPORTS Head of Television, Steve Crawley, said: “It would be un-Australian not to watch this match. Just the other day I was on a plane with the Australia team and the whole cabin burst into applause. They’ve captured the imagination of a nation and we should all stand and cheer.”

FOX CRICKET expert commentators Isa Guha and Mel Jones will call the match alongside World Cup winning captain Alex Blackwell and reporter Megan Barnard.

FOX CRICKET will show all of Katy Perry’s pre-game performance LIVE from 5.00pm before teams take the field for the Final.

FOX CRICKET’s broadcast of the ICC T20 World Cup final and pre-game will also be simulcast on FOXW (Channel 507), a special pop up channel which has been running all week to celebrate International Women’s Day and put a spotlight on women’s sport.

Fox Cricket using the Flying Fox camera for the toss and post-toss interviews (like they do at the drinks interviews) at the Aus v NZ ODI due to the exclusion zones aroujnd players. Brendon Julian conducting the interviews.

Flying Fox camera also being used for the post-match presentations tonight.

(Sorry, took the screenshot on my phone using Kayo yesterday to show a few people in the office)

Watching the highlights, i could hear the ABC commentary faintly behind Brendon Julian.

The final two matches in the ODI series between Australia and New Zealand were cancelled today, after the NZ Government said this afternoon that international passengers (including returning Kiwis) had to self-isolate for 14 days. That means Fox Cricket won’t have any live matches until the Sheffield Shield final at the end of Match.

Old graphics package. Was it from this or last summer?

Old

Yes I know but was this ‘shot’ from this summer or last?

Last season

Nice to see Fox Cricket finally providing some new content to watch in lock down!

The rest is unnecessary.

These are the worst produced things. They use iMovie for the graphics and a program that cuts off recording at 15 minutes. Surely its not that hard to edit the program better?

Also, it should be a given that you put your phone on silent when in a interview, on?

A Week with Warnie World Premiere on FOX CRICKET

UNMISSABLE SPECIAL SIX-PART INTERVIEW SERIES WITH WARNE HOSTED BY MARK HOWARD AIRING FROM MONDAY, MAY 11 AT 8.00PM

WARNIE’S TOP 50 WICKETS ON HOME SOIL – MONDAY, MAY 11 AT 8.30PM

PART OF A WEEK-LONG, POP-UP CHANNEL ON FOXTEL AND FOXTEL NOW

Shane Warne, one of the greatest cricketers the game has ever seen, will bare all in an explosive six-part series exclusively on FOX CRICKET, on Foxtel and Foxtel NOW, as part of a special pop-up channel called A Week With Warnie , from Monday, May 11 to Sunday, May 17.

A Week With Warnie will showcase the spin king like you have never seen him before as he sits down one-on-one with FOX CRICKET’s Mark Howard to talk about his journey from the beginning to become an international superstar, on and off the field.

The world premiere first episode of A Week With Warnie will air on Monday, May 11 at 8.00pm on FOX CRICKET, and will be simulcast live on other FOX SPORTS channels, with subsequent episodes airing Tuesday to Saturday at 8.00pm on FOX CRICKET.

And immediately following the premiere episode at 8.30pm on Monday, May 11 will be Warnie’s Top 50 Wickets on Home Soil , a one-off special counting down the spin king’s top 50 wickets on home soil where he terrorised the world’s best batsmen including Mike Gatting, Daryll Cullinan, Mike Atherton and Brian Lara for the best part of two decades.

The series A Week With Warnie will feature Shane Keith Warne, or Warnie as he has become universally known, revisit the many highs of his cricketing career, which saw the leg spinner take 1001 first class wickets, and of course the very low period when he was banned from the game for a year for taking a banned diuretic drug in 2003.

He provides fascinating insights into some of his greatest moments such as the Mike Gatting wicket that changed his life forever, his return from the drug ban in 2004 when he played a starring role in Sri Lanka and the time he provided one of cricket’s most iconic moments, capturing his 700th Test wicket on Boxing Day at his beloved MCG in 2006.

Other episodes of A Week With Warnie will cover what his life in the spotlight was like – a life in front of the camera while both on and off the pitch where the leg spin legend has never been shy to speak his mind. He talks candidly about his engagement to Liz Hurley and the pressure that brought on his children with all the extra attention it attracted, as well his bond with Ed Sheeran and partying with Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

Warnie also talks about life since retiring from cricket. He tells Howie about his love for playing poker and what that has brought him which he was never able to enjoy whilst playing cricket. He discusses his business interests including his new venture, a gin distillery and he talks about an intimidating meeting with Kerry Packer when he was just 23 years old and how ultimately that meeting launched his cricket commentary role for which he has been lauded around the world, including on FOX CRICKET.

Each episode of A Week With Warnie will also be followed by some of Warnie’s Favourite Games playing for Australia, that have been specially hand-picked and will be introduced by the man himself.
