Fox Cricket

Is Foxtel in such cost-cutting mode that it can’t even afford to pay for the rights to the series? It will be relatively cheap compared to English v Australia limited overs series proposed for September this year.

Yes in 2014

Around that time, Nine managed to secure exclusive rights to The Ashes in England In 2015 and 2019 which Fox Sports were obviously not happy about. Eventually, they caved in to pressure and bought rights to England internationals without the Australian series.

The same thing could be happening again if Fox Cricket is again shut out from buying rights to the Australian games. I can’t imagine it’s due to cost-cutting even with their financial issues

They must be shut out at all costs.

According to News Corp, Fox & ECB signed a temporary deal so that series can be shown. Apparently the two sides are working on a long-term deal

Hope the new deal includes county cricket and The Hundred

The three-test series between England and West Indies, which starts at Southampton tonight (AEST), will also be streamed live and free on Cricket Australia website and app.

Yes, CA have signed a deal with the ECB to broadcast this summer’s (winter’s) series’ (excluding Australia’s series).

Cricket Australia this morning released the fixtures for next season’s BBL and WBBL. There will be more WBBL matches televised on Fox Cricket (26, shared with Seven), while the channel will again show all 59 BBL matches including 16 exclusively. The 16 pay TV exclusive matches include a Christmas Eve afternoon clash in Hobart, as well as all Friday night matches and Saturday double-headers throughout January.

If this virus doesn’t improve, looks like Fox will be without Guha and Vaughan this summer

And maybe even Harsha Bhogle, who was meant to be their international expert.

Shane Warne was given an exemption by the federal government so that he could leave Australia and fly to the UK to commentate for Sky Sports. He’ll start with the England v Pakistan match this week, and later do the scheduled Australia v England matches in September.

Australia vs England ODI’s and T20s will be on Fox Cricket unlike previous years when 9 showed it

isn’t it contracted to be on Nine?

No, I;m surprised its not on someone like SBS.

that ran out last year at the end of the Ashes in 2019.
