Poor form to take a week off while the season is in full swing. The Agenda Setters will benefit from a ratings boost.
Why is it that the NRL counterpart â100% Footyâ aired last night (Monday), but this couldnât? It just feels strange for this not to air, just because the swimming was on.
Footy classified should get cal toomey on full time.
He needs to get more comfortable in front of camera first. Credit to Nine for giving him the opportunity to fill-in but heâs a long way off being a television journalist.
I think he is a lot better than Tom Morris and James hird.
After having last week off, FC ratings seem lower than usual this week. Easily beaten by Agenda Setters.
Are the numbers for Agenda Setters combined, ie the 7:00 pm numbers on 7Mate combined with the replay later on 7
I have actually started to prefer agenda setters, I just feel they took too much from classified. They had opportunities to do something really fresh. But thing I like have Agenda Setters is it is consistent. You know itâs going to be on, you know who you will get most weeks and I think that is important
Quite a funny gag at the end of Footy Classified tonight when a 40th birthday cake was brought out for Sam McClureâs birthday, but Sam insisted heâs only 34
Potentially no episode of Footy Classified on Tuesday night due to Nineâs broadcast of the Swimming events at the World Aquatics Championships in eastern states, and delayed broadcast of The Block/live coverage (moved from Gem) of Swimming in WA. There is currently (10pm AWST, Sun night) a TBA slot on Gem at 8:40pm nationally where Classified could still be broadcast.
That slot has now been filled with New Tricks in Adelaide, while Perth has Swimming until 9pm then New Tricks - still TBA in Melbourne though as New Tricks will be airing there at 7:30pm.
Update - Agatha Raisin now in the 8:40pm slot in Melbourne.
Seven and Foxtel were angered by Nine showing new vision of GWS star Toby Greene kicking Swan Dane Rampe on Footy Classified last night. The footage was taken from behind-the-goals vision only accessed by the AFL and normally disseminated by the league to its TV rights holders.
The behind the goal video that was shown on last nightâs show:
the SEN article, and others, all say only the AFL and host broadcasters (7 & Fox) have access to the behind-the-goals vision.
But donât the teams involved in the match have access to it afterwards?
Likely get access to it through the AFL.
I think Nine might have got the vision from production company NEP, which provided the cameras and crew.
It says journalist in this tweet
I assume itâs someone who works at both 9 & AFL. Clearly they wasnât aware of 7 & Fox having exclusivity with that vision & wasnât done in a malice way so thatâs why they havenât gotten in trouble
Damian Barrett? He works for the AFL and appears regularly on The Sunday Footy Show and Footy Classified.
There are at least 2-3 people who are both 9 & AFL
