Yet they want more events for Moore Park. It’s not going to be the NIMBYs holding them back, it’s going to be the venues themselves.
Sydney needs a venue or two with a retractable pitch.

I wonder if there is a flaw in the design of the drainage system of the new Allianz Stadium that will lead to the turf being replaced.
That is the potential worst case scenario they are preparing for, which could result in at least 6 weeks of work to fix.
Something else they have noticed in previous testing is the presence of silt thanks to the flooding of their turf supplier near the Hawkesbury. It apparently hasn’t caused problems for other stadia that use the same supplier, however, so in all likelihood, its probably a combination of both.
Schedule for the first 3 matchweeks in Premier League has been confirmed. For ease of reading, all times AEST. If a team doesn’t show up, they go onto the UK-blackout slot of Sunday midnight AEST.
The league said by this point, we should have gotten 6 matchweeks, so I’m not sure what’s delaying that process. Either way, we should receive the second half of it pretty soon, and the next update will come on August 21.
All games available in Australia on Stan Sport and radio coverage is available via the official EPL app.

Chelsea have claimed their second Club World Cup in four years, beating European champions Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final in New Jersey. All three goals were scored in the first half.
Despite those figures, analysis conducted by the ABC of all of the Club World Cup fixtures shows that while almost 2.5 million people attended games, on average, 38.93 per cent of the total seating capacity of all host venues remained unfilled.
