i was thinking of going to the next Roar game, only to find it being played in redcliffe. It makes a 20 min train journey to Suncorp for me into almost one a half hours each way. And that’s without having to switch trains.

Playing in Redcliffe makes it too much of a hike for those if us from the west - even driving it takes 45 mins - before hunting for parking, and getting from parking to the stadium.

The move to Redcliffe really cut off half the city

They’re moving back

Apparently it’s a big money spinner for the EFL, so the lower leagues will be fighting tooth and nail for it.

France defeated Australia 4-1. After Craig Goodwin scored the first goal for the Socceroos in the 9th minute, the defending champions fought back with two goals in each half. The French side, even without the injured Benzema, was still a class above the Socceroos, with Giroud (two goals), Mbappe and Rabiot among the goal scorers.

A few firsts involved in this:

Patrick Kisnorbo becomes the first Australian manager in a ‘Top 5’ European men’s league

Rado Vidošić becomes interim ALM manager, while his son Dario replaces him as interim ALW manager. This is the first time a father-son duo have been manager of both first teams at a top tier club in Australian football history
