This is fantastic, what a match
England dashed Mexico’s World Cup hopes with a 3-2 win in Mexico City, with goals to Jude Bellingham (two) and Harry Kane. England also ended the Mexico City curse (the team lost to Argentina at the venue in 1986 in the famous Hand of God match).
What a game. Was on the edge of my seat.
England captain Harry Kane, who scored the penalty in the second half against Mexico, celebrated his team’s win so hard that he lost his voice when he talked to the BBC after the match.

Also, England substitute Jordan Henderson was stretchered off the field after landing awkwardly on his arm while attempting to scale the advertising hoardings, during his team’s post-match celebrations.
The RBFA formally lodged an appeal with Fifa, which was subsequently granted, according to The Athletic. Both the RBFA and US Soccer were reportedly asked to submit their arguments by 5 am PT, just 12 hours before the scheduled kick-off at Seattle Stadium.
A member of Fifa’s appeals committee, unaffiliated with any federation in Uefa or Concacaf, has been appointed to hear the case, though there is no guarantee a ruling will be made before the match.
FIFA has appointed an arbitrator to rule on the matter, but it will be a race against time – especially as the Football Association has still not received FIFA’s official decision or reasoning, making it difficult to formulate a case.
All I can say for this morning is…. Go BELGIUM!
Spain edged out Portugal 1-0 in Dallas, with second half substitute Mikel Merino scoring in the 91st minute. The loss marks the end of Cristiano Ronaldo’s sixth World Cup campaign and also his final World Cup match.
Ange Postecoglou was last week appointed the new manager of Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, two years after he was sacked as Tottenham coach.
FIFA quickly denied an appeal by Belgian soccer authorities over the repeal of USMNT star Folarin Balogun’s one-match suspension after his red card in the team’s last World Cup game against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday. That, according to multiple reports.
“The FIFA Appeal Committee has rendered a request submitted by the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) as inadmissible,” according to a statement from FIFA.

USA have been eliminated from the World Cup following their 1-4 loss to Belgium in Seattle. Charles De Ketelaere scored a double in the first half before the home side responded through Malik Tillman from a free kick. First half substitute Hans Vanaken scored Belgium’s third goal in the 57th minute through a howler from USA goalkeeper Matt Freese outside his area, before second half substitute Romelu Lukaku added a fourth in the 93rd.
Folarin Balogun was in the American starting lineup, and played for the majority of the match, before he was subbed out in the 92nd minute.
HA HA F**KIN HA! Cop that Yanks! Trying to cheat your way to success.
Justice is a dish best served with a side of Belgian waffles.
Another defeat for cheater trump and Fifa need to get rid of Infantino. The 4-1 could have been more.
Before the match started I thought in my head that USA are favorites to win the ROund of 16 match. But as I turned on the TV, I noticed that the Belgium started off well with a goal before the home side fought back to level the scores. I was very worried that Belgium would be knocked out. But after the match ended, Belgium knocked out the USA with a 4-1 win. Thankfully, justice was being served.
I hope Belgium will make it to the Final.
Ha, Karma.
Eat this Trumpy.
While I very glad USA was evicted, it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if they had won with Folarin Balogun scoring!
But but but… the USA were supposed to win this tournament, and also be crowed Team of the Century.
Sucked in! Shows that bribes don’t always work when the other team outperforms you.
