Food

Do it. It’s a great way to support local businesses rather than supporting a supermarket that hasn’t done so badly throughout this pandemic.

I see the MVRC are doing a race day at home experience box for Cox Plate Day, so I don’t know what to do now.

There are too many choices!

When I first saw the menu, I thought why would you put sundried tomatoes, capers and raisins in mac ‘n’ cheese? Then I realised it must have been a typo.

Right, if anyone sees me eats KFC again, please shoot me.

It’s made me both sleepy and wanting to vomit at the same time - is that possible?

Sounds about right. :stuck_out_tongue:

I said this elsewhere…

Don’t eat it then. Don’t know what’s complicated, also don’t need to hear about every bowel movement or any other gross details you may have to share.

I haven’t been eating it. First time in a while. Still regretting it.

Also, I think it’s funny to annoy you lot with tales of my mundane personal life. :stuck_out_tongue:

What a waste of food. Could the farmers have donated some of the crops to food charities?

Didn’t you read the story? There is nobody to pick them. They will just bulldoze the crops if they can’t pick them.

Anyone here had the Samyang Buldak hot chicken ramen? I love the flavour of it even though I can’t handle the spice. :joy::sob: (For those not familiar, search “Fire Noodle Challenge” on YouTube)

Had the deep fried bacon on a stick at the Royal Easter Show - it was OK, but very flaky, doesn’t sit well on a stick and a tad overpriced at $11 for one rasher with the cheese sauce.

The charcuterie board - not that impressed. Over priced for ham, chicken and that specialised deli meat with rock hard olives, tiny bit of salad and a terrible sauce.

But the one thing I am likely to regret eating - pork hocks. The crackling was fine, but the meat I don’t think was cooked completely was way too greasy and fatty. Knew I should’ve gone for the Subway or the kebabs.

Sounds like the diets going well

I am allowed a cheat day. Today was that cheat day, and I drunk nothing but water outside of a Coke Zero to wash down all 3 of those meals.

Plus, for your information, I did 25,907 steps at a decent clip.

Exercise only does 15% of the work the rest is what you put into your body. But food is amazing.

I’ve been on a weight loss program since April last year and in that time I have lost 45-50kg doing my own thing. I started at 130kg, now I am down to 84kg. I want to lose the last 4kg to get down to my goal weight of 80kg.

I have a cheat day too, generally on a Saturday. Everyone is allowed a cheat day. I find by having a cheat day I am not craving all the bad shit during the week and sticking to my diet. I get my fix on a Saturday and I’m all good for the remainder of the week.

Congratulations

The draft standards were written by an independent panel, which has recommended traditional battery cages be phased out between 2032 and 2036.

But the plan has already been criticised by animal rights groups for being too slow to end the use of cages, while the industry wanted a longer phase-out lasting until 2046.

The new standards were only tabled after Greens senator Dr Mehreen Faruqi forced the government to release details of the new standards in a special motion in the Senate.
