Five AA Adelaide

Poor Five AA.

Never removed themselves from recycling talent.

Replacing Leon Byner has been made unnecessarily difficult by the station.

Five AA also lack a decent pipeline of experienced producers and content leaders. Much as 4BC struggles with both.

Put exciting talent into the morning show, make it appointment listening, break stories instead of regurgitating what print and Aunty have to say.

If The Advertiser closed, FiveAA would only have media releases to survive on.

Time to lift your game.

I enjoyed Matthew Pantallis but he is good in the news room. I have never been a fan of Graham Goodings on radio, I think he lacks a bit of spark but he obviously appeals to many.

To the stations credit they have a lot less replays and music than they used to. Summer weekends are mostly live radio which is good.

FiveAA have been given a website facelift - the last of the NOVA group to be switched to the new/current style.

FiveAA Summer Roster

Mostly covered by employees, regular weekend announcers or newsroom staff which is better.

For a few Summers they rotatted alot more people through which meant they only did a handful of shifts each in some cases.

The other good thing is they are mostly live. Not as much pre recorded content as they used to have.

Really sorry to see that Caroline Wilson’s segment on Stephen Rowe’s show has come to an end after 20/ish years.

Always loved listening to her and Rowey debating and discussing a range of footy topics each week.

Nova can’t afford Caro? Has to be more to this.
