According to The Australian, SBS is finalising a sub-license deal with Tabcorp that will allow the latter to broadcast World Cup matches at its TAB outlets and on its betting app.

Ahead of the World Cup, ABC News channel is showing a 15-minute program Ticket to Qatar at 7.45pm AEDT every Friday, hosted by Tracey Holmes.

As we countdown to the biggest sporting event in the world, Tracey Holmes presents a fast-paced and informative program showcasing the Socceroos chances at the World Cup in Qatar.

World Cup Daily will be hosted by presenter and social creator, Claudio ‘Claudes’ Fabiano, who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise alongside his genuine love and passion for football.

Opening Ceremony followed by first game tomorrow morning (laste tonight) 2:00 am AEDT followed by Qatar V Ecuador (kick off 03:00 am AEDT).

It’s great they can build a set of that scale inside the Artarmon HQ of SBS. They’ve really invested in the coverage. 7 can’t even replicate this for their trash Olympics coverage. Unbelievable given the tight budgets at SBS compared with commercial broadcasters.

These backgrounds would have been better as screens or greenscreens really. Then you could have had live vision of Doha.

You don’t really need to be on location these days when you can build sets like that.

Were never going to be with Foster in the team. Plus, there’s really no need given they would be hosting from a studio there anyway.
