Federal Politics

Okay lets take a look at the new options on the table:

1: Snap election
Possible, Malcolm is very aware of this option but will he risk it and cause further damage?

2: Right wing launches attacks by having the 7 rouge ministers one by one walk away thus forcing Malcolm to stay in Canberra during the next 14 day off period we have seen so far 2 offer to walk)

3: The moderates bandi together and put forward a 3rd choice in order to save what the fear, the hard right fucking things up even further, this option will see Bishop (skelletor) as the preferred choice.

or

3b: Morrison / Oā€™Dywer ticket is put forward.

4: Malcolm walks away all together forcing new leadership at the same time causing a by-election.

of all the options only 2 makes sense, 1 and 4.

The NSW state government is shitting its pants right now as they have a lot to loose by March and the Victorian State Government is good to go and continue on after November.

Is he conservative enough for the right wing? He may however entice a few moderates especially in Victoria an alternative leader but personally not convinced heā€™s PM material.

the news on Hunt is that should Dutton force the 2 step option that Hunt will put his hand up for Deputy, Bishop can no longer stand by and do nothing.

Walking Death re: Kevin Andrews is the man behind this option from reports.

Lets see, Victoria goes to state election in November, Andrews / Labor government is somewhat doing a decent job (Iā€™m not in Victoria so only have limited knowledge on how that state is going) , if Malcolm survive till then (not likely) then the key test is the VIC election, meanwhile (I cant spell her name) Gladys is done up here, she has totally fucked up NSW especially with the forced council merges which were never put to the voting public and then their is the over building of Sydney metro and the out of control traffic snarls but that is not due till March 2019, however Dutton as PM will play no role here in NSW as he is seen as a non entity.

Yeah, nah. Building some roads and reopening long closed railways, otherwise Guy, like Turnbull (though not quite as progressive) is dancing to the conservativesā€™ tune. The outcome will be interesting.

It probably wonā€™t happen, but I really think an early election needs to be called. The general public surely must be getting sick and tired of having a leader change before they can even vote for/against them again?

*Berejiklian.

In any case, Iā€™m sure the current NSW Government (who IMO, are almost as bad as the Federal Government when it comes to changing leaders over the past decade) are really hoping that the Federal Election will happen before the next State Election! But thatā€™s for another topic.

hmmm, Malcolm has not accepted the resignations of the juniors who votes with Dutton.

that is a very interesting development

awwww, yeah okay :frowning:
That said that government is also done as a pig that ready to be eaten.

Maybe she can get a nose job with the last money they have yet to spend on doing all these stupid projects they have done since 2012.

The Greens may absolutely be the kingmakers in the Victorian election, but the Coalitionā€™s brand is completely shot. Theyā€™re going to suffer federally regardless: bite the bullet and call the election already.

so what will Channel Nine use? a shredder? a catapult? the crusher?

Personally bring back the shredder, Duttons face going through one after he losses his seat will by as fitting as it was when Howards face went through it also.

Meanwhile take a shot of your fav alcohol every time the Sky News cross to a candidate and in the backgorund they are watching ABC instead

Turnbull needs to go to an election. Itā€™s the only way.

Indeed but will he have the balls to middle finger the entire liberal / National coalition

An election right with a potential 9 week build up (so October 6th, re: Bathurst 1000 weekend), gees with 55/45 (Ipsos) and who knows what Ruperts poll will show by Monday morning (depending on who is actually PM) ā€¦ gees that is tough, but the core advantage is it will flush out all thee hard right and possible change the cross bench in both houses.

That is a huge call for Malcolm to make, but he does have one major advantage, his personal wealth and he can donate as much as he wants to the cause if he chooses to save them and try to form a minirotiy government at best a slim majority.

Yes they need to call an election this is a mess. Ironically the libs were in a flap when labor was doing all this and they said they wouldnā€™t go down this path. Are they actually fucked in the head?

Jones and Credlin in a flap on Sky. Who needs pilot week when you have these crazies on sky news after dark.

Ohhhh godā€¦ Jones calling for the return to Abbott and that they need to rip up Paris and build coal power stations to win the next election. Are these people fucking crazy?? Jones is saying hat Abbott is an intellectual force and the only one who can win an election. Do they realise Abbott is toxic to the electorate. They actually believe this shit!

Their is 1 wild option I failed to mention ā€¦

Malcolm goes to the GG calls for general election and then proceeds to quit as PM and not re-contest his seat leaving the coalition to scramble to install someone as leader and deputy and also find somneone to put up for Wentworth while also fight an election that they were not ready for and not have access to Malcolm personal wealth.

Now that would be an ultimate Fuck you to the Libs by their once former leader.

Murray saying this isnā€™t the fault of the extrem right. Heā€™s defending them. Another night of hyperventilating. Comedy gold.

ā€œDutton is the hope of the sideā€ these people are crazy. Evil personified as prime minister. :man_facepalming:

Thatā€™s the saddest part, they actually ARE that crazy that they believe it. I actually think thereā€™s probably some mental illness creeping in. Thereā€™s got to be a syndrome not unlike Stockholm syndrome, which makes them so irrational in the face of overwhelming evidence and opinion. They should be studied!

Julie Bishop and another Liberal MP have threatened to resign if Dutton is made PM, according to the ABC.

Some Nationals have said they will sit on the crossbench if Dutton wins.

Turnbull is terminal.

A snap election is the only way.

He also has the option to stand (and quite possibly win) as an independent at the next election which could make him quite a powerful player in the future Shorten Government depending on how the chips fall.

Was it always just an ego thing for him or are there things that he is genuinely passionate about and wants to achieve in Canberra?
