Federal Politics

Hell no, just an interested observer.

I find this to be the best form of reality TV.

Tuned into the opening of Bolt for a laugh… he was grilling Kevin Andrews why he they won’t sack Turnbull and why is Abbott backing Dutton instead of himself and then Bolt moves into a segment bashing the ABC for running some sort of three part series on global warming and will interview someone who is agains alarmist views on climate change.

Talk about fucking ideology. Sky just run one sided agenda all night. It’s conpletley ridiculous really.

just to throw more fuel onto the fire:

The tip off to Network 10 about Dutton comes at the expense of the old man newspapers, remember the old mans son was supposed to be in control of Network 10 but CBS were too smart and got in 1st.

Also it should be noted that the old man himself is in Australia not far from Canberra in Yass at the family farm where he actually has FTTP (yes you read that correctly) connectivity and a Telstra base station near by for super fast broadband and mobile access.

LOL thats when i switched off :stuck_out_tongue:

Even as a casual observer, I can see some rumblings, but I think Turnball is on his last legs. He probably be out of the end of the year if not September.

You’re right. Best reality show around.

Fuck me dead… Ross Cameron and Rowan dean on sky saying that the only way to beat labor is to fight them on climate change and the Libs will win based on coal fired power stations, dump Paris and halve immigration.

Where do they think this is the majority thinking of the nation? Just because they believe it doesn’t make it so.

Who needs scripted comedy when you have this solid gold content on sky news after dark.

Right out of Fox News play book.

Indeed.

My understanding is that it relates to child care payments which are now made to operators (as of July)

2 things will happen:

1: Malcolm folds and calls for a spill of the leadership (which could be as early as 4:00pm today for a Wednesday morning vote)

or

2: Malcolm in order to save his job pays a visit GG and dissolves the House of Reps and 1/2 of the seante for a Octrober general election

Of course their is a 3rd option but one one is talking about it, his leadership teams today forces the NEG votes in the House of Reps thus flushing out those who are against it, lets see if they will cross the floor or won’t be in the house after the running of the bells has ended, the last time that happened Tony Abbott ran out of the house as fast as he could and was caught on camera for doing do.

Either way the old man trying to save his newspaper empire is to blame for this mess.

or at the party room this morning a patsy calls a spill and it happens straight away. the meeting is scheduled for 9am and there is a chance mal could walk in a rooster and out a feather duster.

thinking about it… if a spill is called in the meeting it needs to be sorted there and than otherwise the libs will be torn to shreds in QT

no it won’t go down that way, the Libs have rules of spills (which only they known about), Malcolm is not that stupid to walk into an ambush like that.

With a majority of 1, should Malcolm be rolled and be on the backbench he could easily force any issue by abstaining form voting, thus you would have a 50/50 split of votes on the floor of the house otherwise known as a “Constitutional issue” and whom ever the PM is will be held to ransom on everything, all it would then take if for one of the Independents to show no support and that “constitutional issue” turns into full blown problem, as big as Gough Whitlam problem of lack of supply and as such the GG would have to act.

lol, From Kill Bill to “walking dead” … these idiots run the country

DAM DAM DAM

Malcolm has called for leadership to be vacant.

IT’S ON!

so petter dutton could be pm?

he does not have the numbers, reports re he has about 25 to 30.

He is most likely the patsy but for whom? Abbott does not that the numbers.

the only prson that does have what could be winning numbers is Morrison, but will be run?

I’m watching via ABC News.

Reports are that at least 5 ministers will walk away should Malcolm continue as leader.

officially confirmed

## Dutton is running

Peter Dutton is officially contesting the leadership.

Should Malcolm be blasted out then he will resign and as such new PM won’t have a majority and will rely on Independents for supply of government business.

Either way get ready for an October election.

Fairfax Media are well on the ball

Turnbull wins

Malcolm Turnbull has emerged victorious in the spill. He attracted 48 votes to Peter Dutton 's 35.

Why are ABC so far behind in reporting?

If your old enough to remember how Keating did it in 1991, the two step method, Skeletor has retained Deputy position of Liberials.

If Peter Dutton is to be PM it will be the worst nightmare for refugees. Who knows what policies he will have towards them?

EDIT: although Turnbull won the ballot, could there be another leadership spill before next year’s federal election? It’s a bit like Labor a few years ago when Rudd challenged Gillard and succeeded on his second attempt.

What will the wreckers do now? Malcom Survives. For how long? Dutton should be eradicated from the cabinet immediately. He is now as tarnished as Abbott and all the other looney extreme right wingers.

What will Bolt, Murray, Hadley, Jones and Credlin do now? They called for this and it failed.

Dutton has to go to the backbench (like Keating did back in 1991), if he stays on then Malcolm has no choice but to sack him.

Wait for the old man to issue them with instructions.

Malcolm has no choice but to now go to the GG and call for general election, if he stays on in this limbo some 8 votes away from being booted out then whats the point, he is a dead man walking like Hawke was as a number of 35 are most likely minsters in cabinet and they have to go to the backbench also.

Labor should have a field day in question time today.
