Some caps from nightly bulletins on Thursday when election called.
ABC:
SBS:
Seven:
Ten:
Seven News had video of Scott Morrison walking into a meeting in Brisbane and somehow Seven thought that was worthy of claiming as an exclusive.
Could get worse with Morrison walking into a toilet that could be the next exclusive
ABC Radio Melbourne is broadcasting from the Melbourne seat of Higgins this morning. Jon Faine will host his show and Conversation Hour outside Giorgio’s Cafe at Glenferrie Road, Armadale, opposite Malvern Town Hall, from 8.30am to midday.
Later this evening, ABC News Victoria will have an outside broadcast also from Higgins.
Tamara Oudyn presenting a special report on Higgins from Toorak Park. She also interviews Insiders host Barrie Cassidy.

Tamara reveals she will be visiting the crucial marginal seat of La Trobe in Melbourne’s outer south east in a couple of weeks’ time.
Hugh and PVO doing a podcast for the election called The Professor and the Hack. Good new content for 10daily and obviously the first for 10speaks.
Still no word on what their election night coverage will look like. Hopefully more than updates and a late bulletin.
Hopefully 10 News First Your Voice, Your Vote 2019 Election Special with PVO, Sam Maiden, Hugh, Waleed Aly and guests reporting around the nation.
Not holding my breath whether they’ll do rolling coverage or not.
Add Sandra Sully, Lisa Wilkinson and Chris Bath to that list and you’d have the most formidable presenting line up in the country. Throw in a couple of politicians and you’d have a very good coverage.
I would be watching it. Your Voice Your Vote is a good working title
Too long and cheesy.
It is such a waste when you have such an experienced line-up, and you don’t do anything. You could even have Sarah Harris and Hamish MacDonald on the desk or in the field.
Forgot about them… Ten have arguably the best presenting team in terms of depth in the country.
Not sure of any details but the first leaders debate is in Perth on 29 April.
Apparently it’ll be hosted by The West Australian and broadcasted on (naturally) Seven
