Just seen 7 do something unusual and promote its budget night coverage.
Extended updates from 7.30pm with a special bulletin at 10.40pm.
ABC News 24 is showing the full Budget speech live followed by analysis from 8pm to 9.30pm AEST. ABC main channel is showing the speech and analysis until 8.45pm local time. Main channel coverage will be live in eastern states only.

Budget Coverage tonight:
Nine- Special two hour bulletin hosted by Peter Overton - joined by Ross Greenwood and Laurie Oakes- live from Parliament House at 10pm.
Ten- “Short and Sweet” 10 minute news update with Hugh Riminton from 9.45pm.
Seven- Looking off the EPG, no record- No surprises really.

Nine’s coverage just started at 10.13- more than 10 minutes late.
Not sure that we’ve ever seen that breaking news ticker used before- looks quite good. Did anyone record it?
