Sangaweech is located at 300 Lygon Street, Carlton, three doors down from Soochi Mango’s own restaurant.

I did find it amusing when the referenced the show as “Sunshine”

Believe it’s permanent across Australia/NZ now. In NZ it replaced The Boss burger.

Sangaweech might be an homage to Franco Cozzo, who might have pronounced the lunchtime staple as such…although probably ‘sandaweech’ rather than including a portmanteau of the Aussie ‘sanga’.

I wouldn’t say it was a tribute to a particular person but more like the way italian nonnas would pronounce it (which is who they parody).

It didn’t disappointing. Only downside is i would have loved to have brought some home with me but probably wouldn’t have been able to get it through customs

The ‘Heinz x Nico’s Night Shift’ pop-up opened on March 12 and will run for six months, operating Thursday to Saturday from 7 pm to 11 pm in Fitzroy.

The activation centres on a self-serve automat format, where customers can purchase freshly made sandwiches from illuminated compartments. The concept draws on a European-style dining model but adapts it for Melbourne’s late-night food scene.

Nico’s Sandwich Deli is located at 100 Kerr Street, two blocks north of Johnston Street.

Perhaps it got so popular they made it permanent. How many menu items over the years has that been the case. I remember when the McChicken burger first came out as a limited time only thing.

I suspect Australia was the test market. If you’re on social media, you’ll probably have noticed it’s now a permanent menu item in the USA.

Back when I was on my way to an early grave due to extreme morbid obesity I probably would have gone for it, but now I’m on Ozempic the Big Arch is far too big for me.

Not keen on the idea of a Korean sticky bbq burger.

You’re not being forced to buy it, are you?
