Nope. brisbane CBD is under construction and i wouldn’t be shocked to see it open by christmas.
is bayswater a refit? maybe an old Carls Jr or something? maybe thats why they are going there - its cheaper than a complete build.
They are being cautious. unlike carls Jr that looked at outer Surburban areas the first two stores (surfers Paradise and Brisbane CBD) are in major areas.
this means higher risk but definitly higher returns as well. I’ve been to surfers a number of times (i was there just last week on holiday and went for lunch one day) and it has always been busy
I have not had Henny penny but when i fly to perth i always get Chicken Treat - especilly when i fly qantas as there is an outlet in T1 - nothing like hoing into a chicken roll and chips before sitting on a plane for 5.5 hours
It seems to be in conjunction with Gomez y Guzman. But I would expect it to open within the month as signage has been installed last week.
I live nearish, if I recall it’s a new development. Definitely not a Carl’s jr refit
It was originally going to be a Carl’s Jr on that Bayswater site but got canned.
It’s a complete new build, the land used to have cheap car yards on it
Most of the Carl’s Jr sites now being used were purchased by them but hadn’t been started.
Wendy’s were obviously pretty quick to get in there when the administrators were appointed.
Blackstar Coffee Brisbane wins trademark battle against Sydney bakery giant
The founder of an inner-city Brisbane coffee company has been locked in a David vs Goliath legal battle with an Insta-famous Sydney bakery for the past eight years.
In his decision handed down on Friday Judge Nicholas Manousaridis ruled that Black Star Pastry had infringed two Blackstar Coffee trademarks owned by Mr Richards, by using the words “Black Star Pastry” in relation to coffee beverages and Black Star Pastry branded coffee.
The case is due to return to court on September 11 for Judge Manousaridis to decide the wording of an injunction restricting Black Star Pastry’s use of Mr Richards’ trademarks.

Each pack will include a ‘Local Matters’ token for customers to support community initiatives, with Grill’d pledging $10,000 this month to Coles’ community partners.
Would be great if they sold some of the sauces too (herbed mayo, etc) like nandos do.
speaking of mayos they should sell in the stores, I reckon they should sell that Oporto mayo
it’s just so good
Tomorrow (Wednesday) Nova 100’s Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips will take a small group of listeners to Pizza Hut at Bakery Hill, Ballarat, the sole remaining Pizza Hut dine-in restaurant in Victoria.
This is great!
Unfortunately, the other two left in Bendigo and Shepparton closed during the pandemic.
