Had lunch at The Coffee Club hoping to get a piece of cheese toast. Sadly they didn’t have any. The one closer to where i live has closed down

Carl’s Jr. has entered administration.
Twenty-five other Carl’s Jr stores in the country were operated by third-party sub-licensees, which will now be transitioned.

You didnt miss much. Images going round show it’s a very poor attempt at trying to recreate the iconic Sizzler offering.
I went to Village Cinemas at Knox a week ago to watch Fly Me to the Moon. After the movie finished I walked past Carl’s Jr. on the way to the shopping centre proper, and noticed the store was boarded up.
Last time I went to Carl’s Jr. at Knox was before COVID I think.
I know that feeling only too well. Thankfully i know how to make it

Just four stores are expected to remain open under the CJ’s Group, while 20 will immediately close.
Which ones are staying? The one in Williams Landing, VIC was always very busy.

Warrawong is still trading (on Door Dash), so it appears that one is safe for now.
Herald Sun says Carl’s Jr. stores at Tarneit, Melton and Dandenong will stay open. The Williams Landing store will close.
the 9 news article says 25 sub franchise rests will remain open while the other 20 will close
does that mean the 20 that are closing will be sold back to the sub license group and open again?
So it looks like 20 stores are closing and 29 remaining open.
All the headlines were around “Carl’s jr collapses in Australia” when probably the headline should have been “Carls jr Australia closing almost half its stores”
Most of those 20 restaurants are stand alone drive through type stores with main road exposure
I’m guessing Wendy’s which is confirmed as opening in Australia will swoop in and pick them up?
Or the master US brand that is keeping its 25 stores in Australia will keep a bunch?
